Happy Birthday Jesse!!!! I'm glad I saw this thread; for some reason I can never remember that you have the same birthday as my niece. She just turned 5... it's a little crazy that I've known you longer than she's been on this earth. Hope you and the family are doing well.

I'm pretty sure that Glen Phillips holds the record for most consecutive years as a Mystik Spiral RSBF...

^that's EXACTLY why I didn't make it last night... I had to be at church at 8:30 this morning for my nephew's first communion, and a show starting at midnight just wasn't happening. I'm kind of bummed I missed it, but I did see them at Larimer last year and at Monolith too. I don't think they could play anywhere in CO that will top seeing them at twilight at the top of Red Rocks... Was the show sold out? I thought that after playing Monolith they'd be able to upgrade at least to the Bluebird, maybe the Fox... I do like Larimer Lounge though, as long as I remember my earplugs and can ge

It is on the iPod. And it will get listened to... eventually...

^I've yet to listen to the new album, and I have to admit the current single gives me no motivation whatsoever... But now, finally getting 'round to this: Reminds me a bit of The (now almost defunct) Narrator's All That To The Wall, sans the female vocalist. If you like the Johnny Foreigner you should check out The Narrator. Not that it matters now since they split up... bah.

Hello my friends. So, I have this little music blog and since I started it a couple of years ago it's really been only to indulge myself more than anything. But lately I've been getting e-mails from record co's with show passes and free cds and whatnot... really it's a bit crazy to think about. Anyway, I just got my first offer to host a cd giveaway. Long story short I've got two copies of David Ford's most recent album. I've posted about it on the blog but my biggest fear is that nobody will read it and I'll have nobody to give the CDs to. Ack!! I figure if at least two of you regist

I have a major serious crush on Spencer Krug.

I too left a YMSB show early last summer. Not because I don't love them, and they always play a great show, but 3 sets with LONG breaks is just a bit much sometimes...

Aw, dammit, I totally forgot Colin was in Boulder last night! I've seen the Decemberists like 3 times in the past year and a half, but really wanted to catch that one. Hope it was great. I really do understand the altitude comments in CO, but you're right, it gets annoying when EVERY band you see talks about it...

I still have not found what I'm looking for

I just learned about this show the other day... Not sure if I'll make it as I've got tickets to the baseball game, but ya never know! -
I've always LOVED watching Jack's Big Music Show with my nieces, but it became cemented as a favorite with the episode that featured Andrew Bird... My nieces and nephews love the aforementioned Justin Roberts and Laurie Berkner, but as for more "adult" music, I've found they also love The Beatles, Guster and The Boy Least Likely To.
