  1. And speaking of, anyone who hasn't heard the Daytrotter sessions should check them out now: http://www.daytrotter.com/daytrotterSessio...vampire-weekend
  2. Agreed. I like M79 enough... and really, they could have included that AND Ladies/Boston on the album without too much incident. Ah well, at least we have the Blue CDR... Checking out the take away show now (didn't realize they'd done it)... really good shit.
  3. I've been listening to these guys a lot since I was tipped off last August (thanks Kyle), but for some reason I cannot get enough of them today. I think Walcott kicks my ass a little more every time I listen to it. And I'm still a little bummed that Ladies Of Cambridge was left off the official release... b-side or not.
  4. EDIT - just got an e-mail that the El Rey show in LA is on April 16, not the 15th...
  5. Me too! I haven't had an Eels show since June of '06...

  8. I didn't like Boxer the first time I heard it, yet it was my favorite album of last year. True story.
  9. I can only speak to Matt Nathanson and Pela. Both were very very good shows.
  10. i like this topic, though i'm not entirely sure why... i'm short, 5'3", but it's OK 'cause i'm a girl. i like my record collection even though i don't have anything remotely rare.
  11. KBCO's A to Z. Once a year they play (supposedly) every song in their library in alpha order. I like KBCO alright, but this is really the only time of year I can listen to commercial radio for more than a couple hours at a time... The last ten: ONE OF THESE DAYS - Pink Floyd One More Saturday Night - Grateful Dead One Man's Ceiling Is Another Man's Floor - Paul Simon ONE MAN WRECKING MACHINE - GUSTER ONE LOVE - BOB MARLEY THE ONE I LOVE - R.E.M. THE ONE I LOVE - DAVID GRAY 100 Years - Five For Fighting One Headlight - Wallflowers One Big Love - Patty Griffin
  12. they are awesome live. when i saw them last year though they ended the main set with a blazing version of 'over and over' then did an encore with 3 chilled out songs. it was kind of a bummer...
  13. Favourite Worst Nightmare is quite a good album. I like it a lot better than their debut.
  14. yes, you should. i've got it on again. i love the aural fucking freakout that is 'bellawood'. fantastic. b-e-double l-a-double u-double o-d spells bellawood!
  15. quit braggin' already... i just wish Justin was coming through here on his tour...
  16. Ditto for those two. I still enjoy listening to old BNL every once in a while, but their last few records have been pretty much shite. I also like listening to Dave & Tim shows now and then too.
  17. Pitchfork has some nice photos of the show last night. And a very sad one:
  18. i like it. i was a bit distracted while listening this morning though so i'll have to give it more attention next time.
