So how do you hipsters feel about this?
Sweet Papa Crimbo replied to IRememberDBoon's topic in Someone Else's Song
Nothing says Hipster like a beard and a knit cap...well, maybe not -
Oddly enough, I had a dream about Jerry Orbach Saturday night. He was singing the National Anthem at a sporting event (don't know if it was a World Series Game or what). He did the vocal gymnastics stuff like Mariah Carey. It was odd.

I'm not familiar with Jay Bennett's vision (would be interested to see it). I don't use this as a substiture for the original. I use it as an addendum...for those days when I need to hear it with a slightly different take. (Sometimes I put "Let Me Come Home" right before "Reservations"...but that is REALLY raw emotionally.

Great tension-building guitar solos

Transcendant jam...but Great tension-building guitar solo? Don't think so. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeKQjF9bU5s&feature=related -
Eh...It was worth a shot. I could tell some stories about the one 'famous' person I know...not completely complimentary, but they are simply the age old stories about how ambition can ruin friendships.

The thread about Being There and the subtractions that people would make thinking to make it a stronger record got me to thinking about something I tried a bit different a couple of years ago with Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. I took a couple of extra tracks from the Demos and Engineer's demos and added them into a Yankee Hotel Foxtrot iPod playlist. I don't listen to this everytime I want a YHF fix, but sometimes I like the textures of the added tunes. It's not meant as a replacement, and is not intended to be some sort of grand statement about my vision...it's just about hearing old, beloved things

Don't know if I should answer as I am about as far from being a hipster as is possible, but the Avett Brothers are really good. -
This is what they did in Bristol last night: "Art of Almost" "I Might" "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart" "One Wing" "Bull Black Nova" "One Sunday Morning" "Dawned on Me" "Handshake Drugs" "Standing O" "Muzzle of Bees" "Born Alone" "Impossible Germany" "I’m the Man Who Loves You" "Jesus, Etc." "A Shot in the Arm" Encore: "Via Chicago" "Whole Love" "The Late Greats" "War on War" That's 19 songs. I'm not expecting Springsteen length shows...but this seems to be a bit shy. When they rolled through Dallas in 2007, they played 25 songs supporting a lesser record. And it wasn't because didn't hav

My wife and her best friend dressed as Sonic drinks one year. We stopped giving out candy the year that over half the trick or treaters had more facial hair that I did. It's a WHOLE different vibe in Texas these days.

As we enter the bottom of the ninth...my blood pressure and heart rate are through the roof. Seen a LOT of baseball in my 40 years of following the Rangers. If Feliz can close this on out...

Yeah...but you're not the only person to ever use the term hipster.
