  1. I tend to agree with your ranking (although I would probably switch The Bends and OK Computer)
  2. I view them as falling into tiers. YHF, AGiB, ST, TWL BT AM, SBS, W(TA)
  3. Well...the kids voted back in 1997 on that version of Wilco. (And, honestly, Wilco is would probably be competing for the kids who listen to Blink 182. I don't think anybody takes Rebecca Black seriously). By the way, I love that video. But, Jeff and Jay are a tad bit...scary. This ain't music for those who are barely paying attention. Back in the day, Wilco was already seen as a wildly talented band that fit into a niche audience. I'm so glad I found this band and their music. It's kept me entertained and engaged for far longer than any other artist I've followed other that Springsteen.
  4. Let's not kid ourselves. A band that performs a 14 minute song about regret, rejection, guilt and condemnation isn't going to appeal to the kiddes. The kids are the ones who buy records in droves. The more I think about it, the more I'm pleased for the boys.
  5. Depending on my mood, Kingpin can be either a fun little jaunt, or a complete asswhip.
  6. Think Leland wants a redo on walking Beltre to pitch to Napoli? Nelson Cruz is becoming a superstar with his performance in this series. Four Home Runs and two game winning hits.
  7. Geez...both Pat and Dave Pirner look like babies...
  8. I agree. There were a lot of little gems on McCartney's first solo record. I guess I have to come clean here that I feel John went right off the rails after Imagine.
  9. I'm not sure what you mean here...but this is one of the greatest love songs of all time.
  10. I've had that issue for a couple of weeks...just do whatever it takes and realize that we're luck to have this place.
  11. Some things are just WRONG http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIOdvXE7kbI

  13. check out the chick at :44 and you will never consider this song the same way again
  14. This is the sound of me trying to be a reformed poster. It is not a pleasant sound as it is being ignored with extreme glee.
  15. LOL...wonderfully exact and obtuse at the same time. I don't stay in hotels in Dallas as I live in the vicinity.
  16. And although it will be a really different vibe, I'm glad the show in Dallas is at the State Fair Music Hall. I won't have to worry about people trampling me on their beer runs. Plus, it is all reserved seating...standing is cool, but there won't be the jockeying for position. I'm too old to do that.
  17. Was it you who posted about that in 2007? Hell, it's been four years, I thought it was Atticus.
  18. These guys had something going on... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHEuSGGmX-c
  19. It wasn't a comment on your memory...it is a comment of the horribleness of the above cited bands.
  20. I see what you did there (after I looked at the other post). I think this is the look Pat is going for (being that he's a dude and all)
  21. Yesterday was one of the coolest days I have had. It beat game three of the 2010 World Series by a mile. I managed to score two tickets on the club level for $20 over the $100 face price for each. There were people around me (including a couple rooting for the Tigers) who paid up to $600 per ticket. Holland was struggling and barely escaped the first two innings and after his shakey first, Scherzer was dealing. Feldman came up large in relief and Ogonda continues to impress. Two starters in the pen bring the deal. The Rangers bullpen has been money since they added Adams, Uehara and Gonzalez
  22. Some folks were ahead of the curve. For myself, I am delighted that this record is so well produced. It isn't as off the wall as YHF, but it is sonically challenging in its own, sweet way. ? A hair joke? I don't think I would say dull. It has a bit of that 70's Topanga Canyon, singer songwriter vibe that Dawes is mining these days.
