I've learned to hide the fact that I'm going to shows from one of my buddies because he'll get a ticket (doesnt matter who the band is) and then try to talk to me the entire f'n show. Second time I saw Bob (first time was with Petty--Bob was pretty bad that time too) at Poplar Creek IL.......havent seen Bob again. I think, in general, the 80s werent that kind to him. It didnt help that I'm not a GE Smith fan either. If you havent already, check out Bob's 2000 tour of England--fantastic stuff.

I still feel the pain.

My aunt was a fun loving free spirit (until about 15 years ago). Hell, she turned me onto the Dead when I was twelve. Now she is a hatefilled, sour woman who wont shut the eff up about how great bushCo is(was...) and how liberals are ruining the country, blah, blah, blah. Who is filling her mind with that crap? You know the answer.

He poisoned my favorite aunts mind and turned her into a raving lunatic. Seriously. I've even asked her to stop listening for just a week....and turn off Faux News as well. Nope, nothin doing. I hate him and wish him the worst.

Aerosmith 1984, terrible just terrible Pink Floyd 1988, oh my god so utterly boring Sun Volt 2x, booooooring GD 1995, Jerry looked like he was dying on stage Bob Dylan, 1988, GE Smith ruined it with his metal riffs.....and mumblin' Bob wasnt in very good shape. Blues Traveler, 1990(?), boring...boring.....BOORING. Even they were bored....they actually all LAID down on stage at one point.

Naked Raygun put on a really good show too. So did Buddy Guy back when he was still playing clubs around town....didnt even need a ticket to get in the door.

I saw them the first time they played Chicago (at Metro) with Mudhoney and Bullet LaVolta.....I didnt get what the big deal was. Mudhoney, on the other hand, was very good. Then I saw them open for Neil Young when he had Booker T and the MGs backing him and I still didnt "get" it. Oh well.

In Barcelona, go see ALL the Gaudi buildings and his park. Check out the Ramblas, which is the main 'promenade' of the city....off the Ramblas is a big square that has a bar called the Glacier. This square is a very easy place to purchase chocolate from the Moroccans if your looking for that sort of thing. Near the waterfront are a few bars that sell cava, which is very new champaigne. I recall buying glasses of it there for a nickel. Tapa's can be purchased everywhere. Dont forget to try the "bombas" and potatas bravas. If you get a chance, go for a ride on a motor scooter around the city for
