Those quirks just didnt hit my sweet spot. It felt contrived and shallow. "Barton Fink" and "Raising Arizona" are more my style. "The Big Lebowski" I hated when it came out. I rewatched it about a year ago to see what I was missing and it fell totally flat, again. File it under 'never have to see again".

It was ok but it wasnt, IMHO, on par with "Blood Simple" or "Fargo". Those films imparted the Coen's 'quirks' whereas NCFOM was rather straight in its telling. I think almost any director in Hollywood could've done a decent job with NCFOM.

"Burn After Reading". I wish it was burned before I viewed it. Terrible, f'n terrible. What happened to the Coens? Their last decent film was "O Brother...". "Pineapple Express". Forgettable. Did they have a script to work off of or was that all ad-lib? I think I'm done with the arrested development genre.

I found that film to be tremendously unfunny.

Me n the Mrs saw "The Reader" on Saturday nite. Pretty good flick. Saw "Space Buddies" with my daughter on Friday nite. Its a shame, an absolute shame that it wasnt nominated for a slew of awards!

Please remember this......the unemployment rate for degreed professionals is still pretty low.......last time I looked it was around 3.3%.....thats not bad at all. I'm a headhunter so I live and breathe this stuff.....lemme tell ya, the job market (at least in Chicagoland) is not that bad. Ignore the doom and gloom. Hell, I just placed a person today (20k fee for me, hooray!). Companies are still hiring!! The requirements are higher, companies are being much more picky, they're moving much slower, offers are less competitive but still, the market is way better today than it was in late 2001/
