  1. heh! Its funny 'cause its true.
  2. I HATE the backwards tracking stuff "space noise" or whatever he calls it between songs on that album. I mean....WTF IS that anyways? Was that his arty response to YHF or something? Makes it tough to throw it on the player. Otherwise, its an ok album.
  3. I'm unable to delay gratification, help me sweet Jesus!
  4. A couple Paul Auster books, a book of short stories that "The Quiet Man" was based on......and I cant recall the others.....
  5. I went to the library last week with a list of 6 books I wanted. They didnt have one of them.
  6. Except for one teeny tiny moment, nope.
  7. You know how it goes........to each their own and all that......the reason I got it was because of Eberts recent column gushing all about it......but for my wife and I, we saw the plot twists a mile away and just tore it apart. That along with one thread of the plot being completely dropped from the story about halfway thru made it a film we just couldnt buy in to.
  8. When I was 13, I stole a placard from a Tribune newspaper box that featured his face and name.....and put it on my bedroom wall. Was it nerdly to do that? Hell ya. Was I wrong to think of him as my hero? Hell no. I wish I still had that thing....
  9. "Exotica"...directed by Atom Egoyan.....which features a stripper who doesnt strip. Slow and contrived. My wife and I decided the only way we'd make it thru was to give it the MST3K treatment which made it much more palatable.
  10. I bought a CD yesterday......Neil Youngs Sugar Mountain, Ann Arbor 1968. I still buy vinyl (because I like it) and I'll still buy CDs.......
  11. [quote name='Crow Daddy Magnus
  12. And the hippie who got his head stuck in the crook of a tree.
  13. I recognized it was Patsy but didnt know the song..........whats the title of that number? About the episode, I thought it was the weakest of the season.
  14. "Cahokia" Its about an American Indian civilization around 1050 AD that built a city in southern IL that was larger than London. Some of the mounds remain there to this day. I betcha Tweedy's been there.
  15. Bobby Black on pedal steel was pretty good on that tune "Family Bible" from Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen's "Lost in the Ozone Again" album.
  16. "The Atomic Brain".......the MSTK3 version. It offered some nice chuckles.....and zombie chicks too.
  17. What about helping in the field? Someones gotta thresh all that wheat and shuck the corn and it damn well aint gonna be me.
  18. I tried the leash/harness thing once. After struggling to get it on properly, we brought her outside where she proceeded to get out of the harness in about 3 seconds and booked into the alley. I found her after some time hiding in a bush. Brought back in the house, where she remained for 7 years until we moved from Chicago. Then that cat took to the outdoors like a fish takes to water. Instinct is an amazing feature.
  19. A great blue ball just spinnin', spinnin' free.
  20. I worked a second job as a waiter for a year in order to buy a diamond for my lady.........so I understand completely how hard the job can be. That being said, I wont reward poor service or poor attitudes with big tips. Normally, I'll tell the waiter my thoughts on why they sucked and then leave whatever change I have in my pocket.
