  1. great video. it's funny though, where dylan is sitting and the shadows etc. he looks like a giant fat man. btw-are any of dylan's movie soundtrack tunes worth checking out. i know there's a bunch of them.
  2. very fun. bruce looks and sounds great. alejandro is a badassss singing beast!
  3. With the realities of life catching up i bet we'll see crazy horse soon.
  4. yes, he's not around. i read neil using some folks hooked up with daniel lanois. that may be b/c neil wanted that swampy sound on this tour, but it really is not like him to not have larry around. btw, there were some sound problems on the first leg. so, who knows. anyone find out cause of death for ben?
  5. very very sad about this. neil is probably my top favorite artist so i love ben keith. love him. he made the neil young sound on everything he played on. he was also a great rhythm guitar player as shown in the picture above. just so textural on the chrome dreams II tour. god i love'd him. my wife and i saw CSNY in atlanta in 06 during the living with war tour. from a distance my wife and i saw ben just walk into the crowd and chat with some friends of his. very very cool. again so sad, especially for neil as la johnson died recently and his guitar tech seems to be out of commission.
  6. he would've encored with his own addition of guano.
  7. that was really funny. i too will miss mr. schorr.
  8. the first two albums were produced by ethan johns i think. i like his production. as far as the bird shit or guano goes...i would think this would be a problem at all the verizon wireless amphitheaters around the country, no? something we don't consider in our rock star fantasies:)
  9. good point:) i liked the production on their first few albums. but the singing is way too much for me.
  10. rumored homegrown songs: vacancy separate ways sad movies old homestead homefires try mexico kansas what else?
  11. that would be interesting. however, my hunch is that there will just be some ducks tracks on the archives vol. 2. O-C is supposed to be all acoustic. neil turned it into the reprise and they encouraged him to flesh it out with more production...so the story goes. as far as TFA goes, TFA II is supposed to be on vol. 2 per neil. it will be released as part of the original release series while homegrown etc. will be part of the special release series that was suppose to start with toast (?). then you have the performance series which has been in full swing and will include the japan crazy h
  12. oceanside/countryside is the initial version of what became Comes A Time. it's supposed to be all acoustic and a single record (with two sides, of course:). Human Highway was an aborted csny album from 76. this is great news. i'm wondering where toast is thought. was looking forward to that. also, it's classic neil to put something out in vinyl before any other format. especially when its one of the albums his fans have been clamoring for for decades...homegrown.
  13. Steve has different eras. Early stuff, which gets good at copperhead road. The comeback after prison is realized with el corazon. Then the political records which are touch and go. Now it's kind of a mixture with a dose of love songs as a result of his hot wife. I thought the Townes tribute had too much of earle's slurring. El Corazon is where to start.
  14. asbury park is almost unlistenable. i really hope darkness is available on its own and not only part of a box set.
  15. Genius!!!! someone has been sitting on that for a while i bet. read it to my wife and i had to explain it all to her.
  16. i think i'm close to 'getting' ryan adams. easy tiger is growing on me. i just need help getting into his piano ballads. looking forward to new stuff.
  17. there is something about that girl...victoria, is it?
  18. I wouldn't put a covers album past Neil before it's all said and done.
  19. anyone watch this. just started the first season. very compelling plot, but some of the acting is pretty bad. who said glenn close was amazing?
  20. booze is key to dealing with in-laws. it's the only time i ever drink hard liquor.
  21. that actually looks like a pretty good set to me. csn is actually a band i'd like to hear covers from as they could give 'em their treatment and it would sound great. kind of like willie nelson doing standards. it is kind of goofy though. i see where you're coming from Aman
  22. yeah, from what i've heard, his guitar playing is virtuostic!
  23. cool. would love to see them do an album together. sad rick wright is no longer with us.
