If he doesn't end up at Michigan, I hope he turns out to be the next Ron Powlus. If he ends up at Michigan, I hope he turns out to be the next Red Grange/Herschel Walker/Vince Young. That is all.

Next time, let her get up early and brush the car off. Good lord man, your a saint if you put up with that kind of BS.

Woke up early to shovel the 8 inches of snow that fell last night, took a shower, made the drive across town to the office, did some administrative stuff end of month/week stuff this morning and now waiting for my 1:30 meeting. Once that is over, its the weekend baby and I'm going to go home and shovel the additional 6-8 inches of snow that is supposed fall this morning and early p.m.

I don't want to come off as a nit, but it's not very smart talking about the questions and answers when there are two more nights the test is offered. Why give anyone a heads up as to what the questions will be.

That was much harder than I rember from 2 years ago. Good luck to those who will be taking it later this week.

I took the original online test in ~March '06, was contacted by e-mail for an audition in Chicago in June '06, but never got the call to be on the show. Out of the 25 people who were in my audition group, I know that at least 2 got the call to appear on the show. In fact, one of them ended up coming in 2nd place in the most recent Tournament of Champions. I could not take the Jan. '07 on-line test because it was less than 1 year since my audition. Now that the year has passed, I'm jumping in again tonight. I can't wait.

One of the college football blogs (Sunday Morning Quarterback) has a post about victory chains in college football, using the transitive theory that A beat B, B beat C, so A is better than C. This one made me cringe a little: Michigan over Appalachian State (5 steps) Michigan > Florida > West. Kentucky > Chattanooga > Georgia Southern > Appalachain State With one more step, Michigan beats itself. See, I can make fun of my own team just as well as I make fun of tOSU.

Man, I hope this isn't photoshopped

What was the arrangement for paying utilities before DBoon started shacking up with the SO? If DBoon was paying half the utilities before he got lucky, he should continue paying half if he has any intention of returning after things with the SO go south.

Good, we need the money up here from all of you out-of-state tourists.

What a great win by U of M. Too bad they didn't have a healthy Hart and Henne at the end of the season, it definitely made a difference against Wisconsin and tOSU. Next year will be interesting with a new offense in place and no Henne, Hart, or Long. The way Manningham and Arrington played, I suspect they both may leave as well to make some $$$ in the NFL. It was also nice to see English unleash the blitz against Tebow. Sure there were a few big plays, but that will happen when you leave the middle of the field undefended because your safety is about to clobber the QB. Good luck to tOSU

Or in other words, confirmation that Native Americans are screwed when the railroad comes through their lands.

The Beers I Must Drink Before I Die Thread

I don't know about the brewery tours, as I have never been to the Comstock location where they do the majority of production. In fact, I don't know if they are doing any brewing at the Eccentric (Kalamazoo Ave) location anymore. They just finished a remodeling project in which they moved the retail store from one of the back warehouses to a storefront on Kalamazoo Ave. that used to be brewing space. -

You live in the only town that IMHO beats K'zoo for places to live in Michigan. And don't knock that mere nostalgia angle, I've moved away at least 3 times, just to eventually end up back in the ol' hometown. Back to the beer: Just like the swallows returning to San Juan Capastrano, another sure sign of spring's arrival -

Seconded!!! First thing to pop into my mind when I read the thread title. I just drive down the street to the Eccentric Cafe. One (of the few) good points of living and working in K'zoo. -
I keep them in the car. At least twice a week I am in a rush, I jump into the car and leave, and halfway to my destination realize that I forgot my wallet.

My hunch is that Ryan Mallett is getting ready to sell that winter coat he bought last January.

I'm certain the Dookies would have beaten ND this year had you been at the helm. If you get the job are you going to sport the sweatervest?

Now who is sorry that they didn't call me after my audition in Chicago last summer?

What's the over/under on how long Petrino stays at Are-Kansas (as my buddy Les is prone to say) before he accepts the Michigan job?

Good Lord, I'm sick for a few days and insanity breaks out.
