Oh to be on the deck at the Mangy Moose on those days.

I just want to say that no team deserves to win Lord Stanley's Cup if their goalie can't get on to the ice without falling on his ass! Go Wings!!!!!
-
If you are basing this on the impressive number of winged wheel jersey's in the stands when the Wings play on the road, you can chalk that up to the "vibrant" Michigan economy. Those transplants to the south and west still pull for the old home team.

Wings in 6. Even if I did not live in the Mitten State, I would be pulling for the Wings. I always go with the original 6 teams.

Just don't change your avatar. The Pens-Flyers result is just the exception that proves the rule -

Thank goodness that the Stars only played like their collective asses were on the line in the 3rd period last night. If they played the entire game with the same intensity that they showed in the last period, we would be looking at a game 7 IMHO. Wings in 6 is my prediction. Osgood is going to continue to make big saves, and I think that the Wings' role players will have a greater impact than the Pens'. But what do I know, I'm Campbell Conference guy not a POW guy. -
The story line of Kevin and the new HR lady was hands down the funniest thing I've seen on TV in years.

1. Blood on the Tracks - Each song is a great story. I keep wondering why someone has not made a movie out of the narrative from Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts 2a. Highway 61 2b. Blonde on Blonde. 3. Everything else

I would be very suprised if Richard Alpert was Locke's father. I am still betting that Locke's father was the original James Sawyer. How else would the kidney transplant thread make sense? The original con man knew that Locke was a perfect match because of their biological connection.

For some reason I was hoping Halcyon's next avatar was going to be the Winged Wheel. But I guess with your track record this year (Canucks, Flames, Habs) maybe it is a good thing you are going with the Pens. -
Colts' Marvin Harrison involved in shooting

It's highly unlikely he would shoot at someone he was agreeing with. -
Less Than into Spiders????? Wow, that had to be an epic half-hour. How long was the drone?

What's the price of gas where you are?
IATTBYB replied to Twisted Acres's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
$3.75 in Kalamazoo. My current pet peeve is the lack of public transportation where I live. I was watching the news last night (or maybe it was the night before) and some yahoo from the US Dept. of Transportation was talking about how more people would use public transportation if it was more efficient and reliable. I think she forgot one other important factor . . . IF IT WAS AVAILABLE!!!!! The nearest bus stop to my home is 10 miles away, or in different terms, 1/2 of the way on my commute. I guess it is one of the drawbacks of living out in the sticks. / end of rant -

Rumor has it that RichRod and the new coaching staff had the boys running full speed from day one and yelled at them, espicially the O-line whenever they slacked off. Apparently, Boren couldn't hack it. I don't mind the fact that Boren left if he wasn't comfortable with the new regime, but good lord, why did he have to transfer to tUOOS? Did he really bond that much with Pryor during Pryor's campus visit last winter? It's going to be a rough year in A2 this fall. The O-line is going to be a sieve with the loss of the #1 pick in the NFL Draft. I feel sorry for Threet if he is the starter

May his first words be "Go Blue!" Congratulations!!!!

The IRS rate is 50.5 cents per business mile effective 1/1/2008. IRS Info. From my experience, most employers will not exceed that rate. eta: Like remphish said.

I saw $3.69 on the way into work this morning for regular unleaded. God only knows how much it will be when I go home this afternoon. It sucks living at the end of the distribution chain. -
I have a pair of these. I wear them whenever possible. The only drawback is the weird tan lines I get on my feet.

If you insisit on getting your answers to your automotive questions on the interwebs, maybe Click and Clack, the Tappit Brothers would be a better option than VC for reliable information.

I felt it up here NE of Kalamazoo. The bed was shaking and the springs were creaking. I started to think, whoa, what a way to greet the morning. Then I remembered that my girlfriend has been out of town this week, it must only be an earthquake.

What's the rarest record or memorabilia you have from any band?
IATTBYB replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
I don't know if anyone would consider it rare, but I have an original LP of Combat Rock with the 2000 Flushes commercial at the end of Innoculated City. From what I understand, there were about 100K copies distributed before the 2000 Flushes people issued a cease and desist letter to the Clash's record label. Subsequent copies deleted the commercial. -
Well, I was going to suggest Crazy Jim's Blimpyburger, but if your not a beef eater, that may not be the type of place you would want to go to. You can get a year's worth of cholesterol and grease in just one visit.
