Arrrrrgh I just found out that I am a speaker at a seminar scheduled on the same night as the Detroit show. Consider this my request for a SW Michigan (or hell, even Ft. Wayne, IN) visit from Wilco.

A short review

Is the Fox the largest theatre Wilco will play compared to the other venues they have been playing in North America since SBS came out? Will that correspond to lower ticket prices perhaps?

Although I only caught a few minutes of the doc last night, the footage of Issac Hayes at WattsStax may have been the greatest thing I have ever seen on TV. You know you are a Bad Mutha when you have the Rev. Jesse Jackson remove your chapeau on stage.

Overrated - Pieholden. Try as I might, I just can't get into this song. Underrated - Too Far Apart (or for that matter, A.M. in general).

No offense intended, but what in the world are you talking about? Anyone's thoughts and opinions about SBS (or any other piece of recorded music) is, for the most part, subjective. For example: SBS is the greatest (or worst) CD in the Wilco discography is my subjective opinion. Nonesuch released SBS is an objective fact.

Note to Wilco: South Haven, MI is a lot closer to Madison WI than Southaven, MS. Take some time, get out of that tour bus, relax along the beach. In other words, come back to the Great Lakes State.
