  1. I voted for Ringo. No reason why, I just did.
  2. The delusion dream lives on! Big 10 rules no forfeit! Go Blue!
  3. In high school, my buddy and I snuck into the chemistry lab storeroom during our independent study period and purloined a small chunk of sodium. We then went into the nearest restroom, carefully lobbed the chunk into the toilet, and then proceeded to step 8. We did not attempt step 9 as we knew what the result was going to be. Despite 100% compliance with step 10, we still somehow got stuck with a 5 day in-school suspension and a bill for a new toilet.
  4. I can't believe that my delusion prediction of Michigan's Big 10 championship run is going to end because they may possibly have to forfeit the PSU win because a special team player was ineligilbe to play. That kind of snafu is only supposed to happen in East Lansing.
  5. I will refrain from piling on due to the off-season mis-deeds of some Wolverines, but seriously, WTF is wrong with this dude. Of all of the crimes a tOSU football player could be arrested for, solicitation and pandering would have been the last one that I would have expected. I guess the pick-up line "I play for the Sweater Vest" just doesn't cut it with the Tri-Delts anymore.
  6. That is an amazing story gogo. I was really into the first episode and all of the time devoted to Guadalcanal. My mom's uncle was killed in the summer of '43 on Guadalcanal, shortly after she was born. Just a few months ago, her last uncle passed away. Earlier this year when it looked as if her last uncle only had a few months left, he gave my mom a bunch of letters that his brother had sent from the Pacific theatre. Each letter that he sent ended with a request that someone give my mom, who was still just a baby at that time, a hug and a kiss. Needless to say, those letters are going t
  7. Speaking of throw-back unis, did you catch the threads the Iggles broke out. It's bad enough that they hung half a hundred on my poor Leos, but to do it dressed up like a Sweedish national team is really putting salt into the wounds.
  8. After two weeks, my delusions dreams still live on.
  9. We all know how mild and temperate those Marquette winters are. I hear the northerly lake breeze coming off of Superior in February reminds many world travelers of the sea breeze in St. Kitts.
  10. I don't want to come off sounding like a twit or anything, but do you have any further information that you could share to confirm that it was not professionally recorded?
  11. For the first time in I don't know how long I am not very optimistic about the Red Wings this season. At least they will be better than the Blackhawks. And if I was the NHL Commissioner, I would eliminate any and all teams south of St. Louis. With less teams, the Eastern and Western Conferences could play each other during the regular season. I would also bring back the old conference and division names.
  12. Currently its the niece and nephews waiting to go get ice cream But I just might change it to the Scary Monsters and Super Freaks
  13. I might bid just for the chance to have the reverend pledge his allegiance to Beelzebub. But seriously, with the way things are going this season, I might finally get off of the wait-list for season tickets. Go Blue! Beat ND!
  14. Bryan Ferry - A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall
  15. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who lost someone. I am one of the lucky ones, as the only person I know who was near the scene was one of my best friends who was at the Pentagon. He came out of the attack without any injury. It was a few anxious days however until his family and friends heard back from him.
  16. If we could only find Doc's Delorean and travel to 2010 for Clawson's and Mallett's senior years, this game could be a classic. Unfortunately, we are getting these guys a few years too early.
  17. Man, now I am starting to understand how Sparty feels. Henne is week to week. Not that he was leading the team to victory, what with his inaccurate passes and lack of mobility, but this can't bode well.
  18. Oy vey, this is going to be a real long season. There were a few Oregon fans sitting near me Saturday, and when it was apparent that they had the game in hand (shortly before half time) they started to get a little cocky. Well, luckily I had the perfect response to put them back in their place . . . "Why are you getting so excited about beating a team that lost to a Division 1-AA team?" I keep telling myself that Michigan will beat ND, run the Big 10, go to Pasedena and win the Rose Bowl. Oh, and Bush will get us out of a politically stable Iraq, universal healthcare will be provide
  19. Let me make this crystal clear: Anyone who voted Michigan as one of the top 25 teams in the country after the loss to App State should no longer be allowed to vote in the polls. As much as it pains me to say this, Michigan is not one of the top 25 teams in the country at this point. They do not have enough talent at LB and CB/S to hang with any team with speed. Unless Henne improves his accuracy and starts looking to his second and third options, the offense will only be productive as long as Mike Hart does not get injured. The coaching staff, specifically DeBoard and English, needs to be
  20. It wasn't just the loss to App St that stung. The fact that Sparty, who is now coached by the anti-John L., was the only reason the State of Michigan did not go 0-fer in Division 1-A games is embarassing. The only saving grace was the fact that ND lost as well.
  21. Whoever voted for Michigan needs to have their voting privleges revoked. I wonder where Appy State would have been ranked had they been eligible to receive votes.
  22. Three days later and I still can't believe what happened Saturday in AA. Michigan has not won a football game since Bo died. This is going to be a long season. I suspect that every team on Michigan's schedule is working on the spread offense by now.
  23. The following is a true story. Back in the day, driver's training was actually paid for by the public school system. Any student was enrolled during the summer of their 15th year. My PE teacher was my classes instructor. During the course we were required to attend regular classroom sessions, driving range instruction in the school's parking lot, and on-the-road sessions. The final requirement to get our learner's permit was to plan a route that included both open highway and city traffic. There were three of us in the car and the instructor did not have any say as to where we were sup
