If nothing else, you can look back fondly on the '06 season and say that your team beat my team. After all isn't that what true tOSU and U of M fans claim is what is important? To hell with mythical national championships and beating Pac-10 teams in the Rose Bowl.

Last night's game just goes to prove that there should have been a re-match between tOSU and U of M. Given each teams' pathetic performance after a nearly 2 month lay-off, the game would at least have been close. Seriously, Congrats to the Gators. And Go Blue in '07!

If USC wins out, they deserve a shot at tOSU. If the Trojans lose to ND or UCLA, then the SEC champ (FL/HOGS) should get the shot, as long as the winner still only has one loss. Otherwise, it should be Michigan. And it is completely irrelevant to ask if UT was a 1 loss team if they deserve a shot because they lost to K-State. Might as well ask what would have happened if Crable tackled Wells for a 3 yard loss instead of missing the tackle and letting him go 50+ yds for a TD or if Crable hadn't clocked Smith in the head on an incomplete 3rd and long setting up the TD to Robiskie.

Bo would probably agree with you. I recently heard him state that some of the players on this team were only 3 years old when he retired, and that the only connection that he had with the team was that they practiced in a building named after him. However, I would not underestimate the motivational impact Bo's death will have on the team. Even after all of these years, Bo is the face of Michigan Football (just like Woody is the face of tOSU football). Sure the media will overhype the "inspirational" angle for the next 26+ hours. Sweet mother of God, it's finally Michigan - Ohio State Week!

Is it just me or is anyone else bothered by the fact that Kate didn't come right out and tell Jack that she can't escape, even with an hour head start, because they are on another island?

In regard to the Michigan gubentorial race, the only metropolitan area Devos carried in SW and West Michigan was Grand Rapids. That doomed him as this part of the state historically is carried by the Republicans by a wide margin. I might have considered voting for Devos if his campaign theme song was We are not Men ... We are Devos. Or not.

I have mixed feelings about the results last night. Michigan re-elects the Dem. Governor and U.S. Senator, the state House of Reps goes back to the Dems for the first time since 1999, and the electorate still voted to approve Prop 2 amending our state constitution to ban affirmative action. Must be all those Reagan Democrats coming home.
