The only games I see the Lions winning are GB, Buff, and SF all at home. I don't give them any shot at winning any other home games (Sea, Atl, Mia, Minn, Da Bears), and the only road games they have a shot at are NYJ and GB. The QB situation has me concerned (although anyone will be better than Joey . . . that guy's confidence was completely destroyed in Motown); other than R. Williams WR looks to be sub-par; the OL has not been improved and that will seriously impact Kevin Jones (who does have the potential of becoming a very good RB in the right situation); DL will miss Big Daddy Wilkinso

The Lions will suck (3-13 is a realistic expectation), Millen somehow will keep his job (those photos of the Fords driving Hondas and Toyotas are coming in real handy), and MrRain's grandfather somehow manages to survive another season . . . he's done it since Bobby Layne left town. Hopefully I am wrong about the first two predictions, and right about the last.

Does anyone have any info about the MSU Concert Auditorium in E. Lansing? GA or seated? In the Wharton Center?

"But to live outside the law, you must be honest" Absolutely Sweet Marie And all of Idiot Wind "Someone's got it in for me, they're planting stories in the press Whoever it is I wish they'd cut it out but when they will I can only guess. They say I shot a man named Gray and took his wife to Italy, She inherited a million bucks and when she died it came to me. I can't help it if I'm lucky. People see me all the time and they just can't remember how to act Their minds are filled with big ideas, images and distorted facts. Even you, yesterday you had to ask me where it was at, I couldn't

When I get on the show (insert crossing fingers smiley here) I am dedicating the "What is Uranus, Alex" response to Lammycat, just to put Trebek in his place.
-
I fixed it for you. Last thing I want is for someone to misinterpret what I typed. Who knows, maybe someone from the NY Post is lurking here.
-
It was a (lame attempt at a) joke for God's sake. And for what it mattters, if I do get the call to be on Jeopardy!, I promise I will not write any sarcastic blog entries about the show after I win 74 games and over $2 million. Hell, I don't even have a blog.

All this talk about A-Rod in NYC got me to thinking: Let's just assume the Tigers could pull off a trade for A-Rod. Given his less-than-spectacular post-season performance historically, if you were Dave Dombrowski do you make the trade, assuming you have to give up Guillen or Inge plus one of the young pitchers (i.e. Verlander and/or Zumya)? If it was my decision, I think I would have to say no. It is probably a good thing this is not even within the realm of possibility.

Whe did SI.com even bother to include the AP wire story? The headline says it all.

For some reason last night, right before I fell asleep, I realized that the AGIB version of Handshake Drugs is my favorite Wilco song, even though I have not listened to the complete disc for at least 2 weeks. Something about the bass line in that song just knocks my socks off.

What are the chances the band will play Happy Birthday if I make the trip from Kalamazoo to W. Lafayette?

Thanks for the clarification. No offense to our English brothers and sisters but Go Sverige! I really want to see Germany-England for some reason (and in that match I will root for England without any doubt).
-
Oh well, so much for my Germany-England prediction in the round of 16. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only chance that they would meet would be in the Finals or Consolation match.
-
It's looking more and more like we are going to get England v Deutschland in the Round of 16.

I actually said to some guy in the bar that it looked like an AYSO team against some real men.

Commercial free over the weekend on ABC, I assume ESPN will also be commercial free.

How do you like this one? I read The Dante Club and thought it was fantastic. I am waiting for my local library to get this one.

I recently finished I highly recommend it if you like historical fiction.

Not the Jon Anderson / Rick Wakeman thread I thought it was going to be.

Nice pictures. Ahh, the scourge of male pattern baldness. My guess is that the typical Wilco crowd is at least one or two standard deviations over the average percentage of audience members suffering from this affliction.

I just want to say that I am now listening to the torrent from your first post it is one of the best sounding shows I have heard. Content and recording quality both get a huge . Thanks for the torrent cbd.

Go . . . And then wait around the tour bus, meet the band, pull out the cell, call the ex and have the band tell her that she missed the greatest rock show ever!
