  1. Damn Crow, I'm sorry to hear this. I'm sure it's safe to say that we're all pulling for you. Better times are ahead.
  2. What difference does it make? Either way, it'll be great tv. This has the potential to revive music video programming on MTV, and that'd be a good thing. I'm sure many bands would make videos just on the hope that Beavis and Butthead would make fun of them.
  3. Not so fast, says Kenny G. http://www.accessatlanta.com/atlanta-music/kenny-g-to-prince-566436.html?cxntlid=thbz_hm
  4. True. They were saying that. But I don't think Nels ever said anything like that.
  5. Wow, what a scary story. Glad to hear your cats are ok and the fire/damage was fairly minimal. My house had a fire about a decade ago, before we bought it. The old man who lived there had a bucket of rags in the basement that caught fire. When we found out about the fire we realized why the hardwood floors and all the walls looked so much newer and nicer than the other houses we looked at. We might not have bought our house had it not caught on fire.
  6. Hopefully his prediction that the next album will rock harder will turn out to be true.
  7. Great link! Thanks. I had no idea those demos existed.
  8. Me too. I got to see them once, and it was fun. I've never listened to their second album, but their first album sounds very dated now, especially in comparison to albums she played on prior to Belly. Supposedly, the songs on Star were supposed to be the second Breeders album.
  9. Dungen: 4 Coming back to town in September!
  10. I think I saw that tour, too. Was that a summer amphitheater tour?
  11. Did they bring in an expert for this appraisal? I bought Live at Leeds with most of the inserts for $1 a few years ago. A copy of Live at Leeds with all original inserts, all in mint condition, is not even close to worth $200.
  12. That's what I was thinking. I didn't see this episode of Pawn Stars, but when I saw the promo and it mentioned Woodstock contracts, I immediately assumed someone was going to bring them the Live at Leeds inserts.
  13. For selfish reasons, I hope you're right. If I can get a ticket I'm going to be there.
  14. The good kind of flashback. Always a welcome thing. Consistency of opinion is an admirable trait. I've really neglected Elton. I've heard most of his early records. Actually, I used to own most of them, but I don't think I have anything but his greatest hits album anymore. I'm going to have to make a point of listening to him more. I could probably find most of his stuff in the dollar bins.
  15. Yeah, you told us that on October 11, 2008. I'm happy to hear about Jim Keltner and Leon Russell working together on this.
  16. Me too. I'm pretty sure the one Roches album I have also has Tony Levin and Bill Bruford, so it's basically the '80s King Crimson (minus Adrian Belew) as their backing band. NP:
  17. I think I'm going to go to Vegas.
  18. Is that a young G.E. Smith on guitar?
  19. Neil Diamond - America Circle Jerks - American Heavy Metal Weekend
  20. Cool, thanks for the info. I'll check out that website. The chrome slide I bought won't fit on my ring finger, so I've had to use my pinky. I also have a glass slide, which I don't like as much as the chrome, but it does fit my ring finger. I'll probably get a larger chrome one as I feel I have much more control with my ring finger than my pinky.
  21. There was a great thread on here a couple years ago about this. I'll see if I can dig it up.
  22. Jeez man, couldn't you have say spoiler alert before you posted all that. Those of us who get our news from Life Magazine's Year in Review would appreciate it.
