  1. Bob Mould wrote storylines for WWE professional wrestling.
  2. I don't like goold hardware. I'd like to see that in some different colors with normal hardware.
  3. Thanks for posting that article. I saw Richard Lloyd twice on that tour (I think I posted an "after the show" review). It was plainly evident that he has some sort of psycological damage, but his playing was amazing beyond comprehension. The sounds he got out of just a guitar and an amp, no effects other than a whammy bar...it still doesn't make sense to me. It was great to see Billy Ficca in his band. I got to talk to Billy after the show. Super nice guy.
  4. Except for the ones who own businesses and hire illegal immigrants. I know for a fact that there are a LOT of republican supporters one could describe this way.
  5. I currently watching season 2 of Boardwalk Empire. I just watched the epislde in which ____ and _____ are murdered in cold blood by the guy that ____ tried to kill. Major bummer. I liked those characters. I guess you could describe almost every BE episode like that.
  6. Wow, I wasn't aware of The Amazing. Some interesting Dungen news in that review.
  7. Bela Fleck: Throw Down Your Heart I'm not really a fan of his music, but this is a beautiful film. This one was pretty fascinating, too:
  8. I can vouch for Driver 23/Atlas Moth. I forgot about that one.
  9. Agreed, but I was going on the fact that the first post listed concert films as examples. Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage is a fantastic documentary.
  10. They were filmed as part of the concert, but unfortunately, are NOT included in the version that is on Netflix.
  11. Just got a Kindle and wanted to try it out with something short:
  12. I'll throw in a wild card: Supershow Saw this recently on Netflix. The description makes it sound like it's a cheesy Clapton concert with special guests, but it's actually a pretty amazing (though somewhat bizarrely edited) concert film featuring some amazing performances from Buddy Guy, Roland Kirk, Colusseum, Steven Stills, Buddy Miles, Jack Bruce, Clapton (who is only in the film for two or three minutes), Modern Jazz Quartet, and probably others I'm forgetting. Oh, btw: Rock and Roll Circus. Come on now, three pages and no mention of this? We're all sleeping.
  13. Thanks. Defintitely somethign I'll enjoy. This one has been in my Netflix queue for a long time. Glad to hear it's a good one. Will watch soon.
  14. Good call. I just saw this for the first time recently. Made me a bigger fan of the band.
  15. There's so many great ones. If you like jazz...or hell, even if you don't there's a good chance you will after seeing these: A Great Day in Harlem Thelonious Monk: Straight No Chaser Jazz on a Summer's Day (1958 Newport Jazz Festival. Not strictly jazz, as it also features some rock and gospel acts)
  16. The entire Classic Albums series. We Jam Econo: Story of the Minutemen Monterey Pop Festival
  17. Hospitality: Hospitality That's the best of 2012 for me by a mile. So much better than anything else I've heard this year that I don't even know what would be the other two in my top three. I've also been enjoying: Tame Impala: Lonerism Grass Widow: Internal Logic Ty Segall: Twins
  18. Damn, wasn't expecting to see that. I got to see his quartet once in Atlanta. Pretty amazing show. It's so bizarre to see Sonny Rollins quoted in an obituary for someone as young as Ware.
  19. I've seen them twice (and Wild Flag once) so it's not a huge tragedy, but I was looking forward to seeing them again since I like their record so much.
  20. Well, I've been planning to go see Hospitality tonight, but I tripped on a sidewalk and busted the shit out of my face this weekend and I'm still in no shape to stay out late at a smoky music venue. Looks like I'll be watching Survivor and then going to bed instead.
