  1. I heard that somewhere, too. Probably just some bad reporting that was going around some time last week. The next debate, on Monday, is the foreign policy debate.
  2. Is there an ignore feature on this forum? I really don't want to see anything else from Sparky, at least not in this thread.
  3. Less than any other genre, by far. I have the god Beastie records and a mix tape full of NWA and PE. Probably adds up to about five cds worth of music out of a music collection of thousands of titles. I've heard some other hip hop that I've liked, but not enough that I'd want to own any more than I already have.
  4. The world of politics is so cynical now that I'm very confident in saying that the kids were instructed to do that as part of a ploy to appeal to moms and grandmas.
  5. Obama is already doing exactly what I said his strategy was designed to do. He let Romney run his mouth, and now Obama is using Romney's words against him.
  6. Well see in two weeks. I'll bet you'll be nowhere to be found if I turn out to be right.
  7. Whether or not it's brilliant I can't say, but of course it is part of their strategy. Everything they do is part of their strategy. Obama should have been sharper and more alert, but it looks pretty clear that last night was an attempt to let Romney hang himself with his own rope.
  8. So you think the Obama camp let him just go in all sleepy and wing it? You are either very naive, or you have no idea how political campaigns work.
  9. All the ones the Hall refuses to nominate.
  10. This is exactly what I think. It's a very risky strategy, but I think they're setting a trap for Romney. Americans, especially undecided voters, have short memories, and the upcoming debates which are (obviously) closer to election day are going to be the most likely to sway voters.
  11. Wow. Fiona's show was far better than I expected. I'm not a huge fan, but she and her band kicked my ass last night. Her guitarist, Blake Mills (who also opened the show and was kind of boring) was spectacular. No exaggeration, he's one of the best guitarists I've ever seen.
  12. I'm trying to find the first two ZZ Top albums on vinyl, preferably not expensive reissues.
  13. Yes...not necessarily the SG specifically, but Gibsons in general. With Cream, EC played a few different Gibson guitar models, including the SG, ES-335 and Firebird. All equipped with humbucker pickups, which have a meatier tone than the pickups Fender typically uses. I wish EC had played Gibsons during the Cream reunion.
  14. Pretty crappy performance in some ways (as is the Santa Monica official bootleg), but worthy of mention for the event it documents.
  15. I haven't heard that, but their Sessions at W54 dvd is very good.
