  1. I need two tickets to the Ryman show, but if you only have one to sell, I'll take it. Please help!!!!
  2. anyone know who's playing drums for Stevie on this tour? I'm going to see him in Nashville and I'm really curious...
  3. My pre-freshman-year-at-college summer job is working for a high end acoustic guitar shop here in town. We're breedlove dealers and we finally got in a OOO just like tweedy plays (adirondack top/rosewood back and sides) and let me tell you, even though i am biased, it is hands down my most favorite guitar to play. Not only do I get to compare to a ton of other nice acoustics, i've sampled quite a few fine guitars in my 18 years alive. I must say, if you have the cash to shell out for a Breedlove revival series 000, DO IT. Here's the OOO we have: Port City Guitars- Breedlove OOO how's tha
  4. on the Live Nation site it says "No cameras allowed" Does this mean no still cameras? That would be unlike Wilco shows I've been too. Is this a Hammerstein thing?
  5. I'm gonna get there as soon as I can. I wont be in the city until 2ish and I have to go pick up my ticket from a very nice person from craiglist, but then right after that i'm gonna head over to the venue to "check the scene." I'll probably just bring a book and chill too. I don't have anywhere else to be and I definitely want to be right up front!
  6. The question is, if doors are at 6:30, what time should I get in line outside to insure a spot in front?
  7. ashes AND acuff! luckkkkky!!!!
  8. one of the most remarkable things about pat is this: i've been to several wilco shows and sometimes i will bring a friend who has absolutely no idea who the band is or what they sound like. by the end of the night, not only are they in love with Wilco ("holy crap...I have a new favorite band!") but they can't seem to stop commenting about the awesomeness of pat. this has happened on two seperate occasions with two seperate friends. one time at a show, one of my friends who was being introduced to wilco was so overcome with love for pat, he shouted "I LOVE YOU PAT" in between songs at a q
  9. Holy Shit...by some act of God, I just scored a GA floor ticket for this show on Craiglist....FOR FACE VALUE. #%^&&*)*#@*(^*#^... I guess all my stressing out and obsessive searching for a ticket finally paid off! I'm so excited right now.... In other news, what time do you think I should get in line to get up in the front?
  10. he said he got lost walking around the woods and a frisbee golf course and said something to the effect of "people who play frisbee golf are DICKS" it was comical.
  11. wow, i've seen wilco quite a bit, but that show was FANTASTIC. one thing that really stood out to me was how great the sound was. jeff even commented on it at one point. the clarity in the mix was just outstanding. here are some other bulleted highlights (since i'm not really in long paragraph mode right now) : -i took one of my friends and fellow musician to the show. he had VERY little experience with wilco's music. truthfully, he had no idea what to expect. he told me he was still really randomly excited. by the end of the night, my friend, who i never would have imagined liking
  12. Oh, I know how you could make that happen! Its easy! Just give me your ticket or a ticket to the show. I will line up early so I can get up at the very front. I will center myself and stand in front of Tweedy. Maybe if I get lucky, during "Hummingbird" or something, Jeff can reach out and grab my hand or at least make really solid eye contact with me. After the show, since I would have made contact with Jeff to some degree, I will allow you to hug me. This would probably be the easiest way for your dreams to come true. Of course, the whole giving me a ticket part is imperative Ok
  13. Well, this is sad. I've been relentlessly trying Craig's list but am having little luck over there too. I'm determined to see my favorite band in the world, but I'm not really sure what to do. In all honesty I may just make a pathetic little sign and show up to the venue early and wait there all day. I just got paid yesterday and have reserved my entire paycheck ( ) for the "Wilco Hammerstein Ticket Fund," but even though I have the money now, I can't seem to find anyone who wants to sell a ticket under $200. Any ideas? People who are currently experiencing the same issue, feel free to c
  14. damn, that is a mighty fine recording.
  15. So obviously posting a wanted ad in How to Fight Loneliness isn't going to do a thing and all the ticket broker websites are currently selling Hammerstein tickets for like $300. My question is, will there be people outside the venue before the show selling tickets? I know the box office probably won't, but I didnt know if people will be chilling outside selling them. I'm guessing if anyone, the people selling tickets outside will be the same evil ticket brokers trying to sell them for $300, but I'm really reallllly hoping I can score one ticket for a reasonable price. I'll be headed up t
  16. Brilliant shirt idea! I'm rejoicing for the very same reason. Its going to be so awesome!
  17. I would love a PM too..I missed out last night....
  18. BOBB! I love him! I've also seen him at Largo. You Chicagoans are really lucky.
  19. Wooohoooooo.....I just got a P&C!! I bought it at 30th Street Guitars in NYC. For those of you looking for one, give them a call. I think they had multiple in stock. I'm home now so I've been trying it out and its just fricking awesome. I'm really happy. Its seems pretty dang versatile too. I'll post a more in depth review later on.
  20. Hey I'll be in NYC next week too! Good times! I always hit up 30th Street Guitars, Ludlow Street Guitars, Matt Umanov Guitars, and the whole slew of music shops on West 48th Street (a few blocks from Times Sqaure.) A particular highlight on W. 48th is Rudy's...everything else is like Sam Ash and other generics. Manny's is O.K. If you're really into acoustic stuff (as well as tasty vintage electric stuff), hop the free ferry to Staten Island and take the bis to Mandolin Brothers. Its hands down one of the coolest music stores EVER. Tons and tons of nice instruments and they let you play
