Do you know how I know you're gay?

Ghostface Killah and DMX....SOOOOO GAY

Man-Made, their latest is actually a great record. I think they also borrowed some of Wilco's gear for recording so thats another plus I guess.
-
interesting, seems as if opportunities to see these guys in club type venues are quickly becoming more and more rare

yeah, me too -
Pretty awesome song, I think I've seen them do this live before. Anyone else dig this? Also any word on a leak? Have a listen.

kind of weird that they did a song from an older album

Do Make Say Think - You, You're a History in Rust Someone on here said that this is what the follow up to BSS's You Forgot It in the People should have been. While I like BSS's latest (s/t), I completely agree with that statement.

I think what I mean is that Randy's records are often overlooked because of his work with films. When I tell people I like Randy Newman the usual response is something in regards to Toy Story as opposed to Sail Away.
-
Dan is amazing, Jeff Lynne, not so much. Also agree with Randy Newman as either underrated/underlistened. In terms of Neil Diamond, I always like watching/listening to his appearance at the Last Waltz. "Dry Your Eyes" is a pretty good song. Can I say David Berman? Its hard to give him enough credit as a songwriter, just amazing. I'll throw in J. Mascis, sometimes it just gets lost in the fuzz and distortion but he writes some great songs.

Its a shame they have to bring in headliners like Kenny Chesney and Brooks & Dunn for people to come see some of this admittedly great acts.

Definitely get Sonic Nurse. One of SY's best albums for sure.

I fell in love with Jim through Insignificance but after repeated listens I believe Eureka to be his true masterpiece. I have a some of his other solo stuff, Loose Fur, and some Gastr Del Sol stuff. I have tried some of his other solo albums and found them to be a little bit on the side of overly avant-gardeish but to each his own. If you haven't heard his work with Sonic Youth (mainly Sonic Nurse) definitely check that record out because its absolutely incredible and his presence is certainly felt.

This record is so underrated. Definitely top 3 of the year for me. For some reason people just seem to forget about it. NP: Ghostface Killah - More Fish, I loved Fishscale and this is kind of just more of that album. Nice production and Ghostface is a great MC so no complaints.

I'm really digging this song, more than intervention. I was under the assumption that they were going to hit a major sophomore slump (where can you go after coming on to the scene with as much hype as they did with an album as good as funeral?) but things look to be shaping up nicely. Never seen them live but will do so without a doubt this time around. Unrelated Arcade Fire Question For Solace: I have a set of Arcade Fire demos called "2001 Demos." I don't really know anything about them (or even where I got them, it was a while ago) but was wondering what the deal with them was. Is that so

Honestly, at this point, it more or less is. Just kidding...

I too was at this Boston show and was really disappointed. This was actually my first Dylan show and I have been reluctant to go see him up until this point for fear that it would be a giant disappointment, which it was. I really like Modern Times and would much enjoyed hearing him play cuts off that and Love and Theft rather than his classic tunes. He's completely butchered all of his best songs and its just painful to listen to. The three Modern Times songs that were played though were all very solid. Also, Raconteurs were just awful, but I hate that record.

I mean TT definitely doesn't have Pavement's signature lo-fi-ish aesthetic (see: produced by nigel godrich) but I think regardless its an absolutely incredible album, one of my favorites.
-
I dunno, I like S+E a lot but I don't think i could pick between, CRCR, WZ, and TT...do pavement fans like terror twilight? im not sure but i think its an amazing record.
-
Pavement is the shit, this Wowee Zowee reissue may have made me think WZ is my favorite Pavement album but I'm not sure yet.
-
If you pre-ordered the Pavement - Wowee Zowee reissue you got a free 7" and free download of a full length pavement concert that was professionally recorded. I for one purchased the reissue in store and missed out on the download / 7".

hate to be a bother but I just picked this up today and was too late for the download...if someone wants to hook me up with would be much appreciated
