The way I see it is that if an election is close in a state, whatever party is currently running that state is going to come out winning that election. (JFK in 1960; Bush in 2000) That said, I don't know who was in charge of Ohio in 2004.

Ha! I was thinking about using that on my Facebook profile.

I know. Corgan was a low-talent whore from day one.

Is Bristol Palin's fiance an Obama operative?
-
No. That actually was ended at some point in the 1950s when journalists decided that the world was too complex for people to sort out on their own without our help.
-
My beef with Fox is that journalists are supposed to criticize and scrutinize the power-that-is, and they spend their time criticizing and scrutinizing challengers to the power-that-is. Not that that is not warranted, but the power-that-is should get the majority of scrutiny.

Thanks, and no, no, and no. She does tell me sometimes what choices to make in my private life, but that's OK.

My sister is a smart woman with a demanding career that actually contributes to the common good. She doesn't spend as much time as Donna Reed spent with her kids, but that does not mean the kids are not loved and do not love their mother. Is that wrong? Shouldn't smart people use their intelligence to help keep society going?

Precisely. It is completely unrealistic to expect teenagers not to screw.

Like Obama, there is not much of a track record of governance, though she at least was the chief executive of something. Given that lack, what else can we judge on? Term papers? Basketball stats?

I'll have to do a trial run to make sure I won't spew when the PBR is opened!

I have read worse, but this one did not even mention Steely Dan once. Oy.
