Oh man - if it turned out to be true, that would be the end of Palin and McCain's political life. Too big, too weird a lie.

Mine too. I don't think I've ever seen a movie that felt like being in another world as much as Blue Velvet.

Our choice as men is to wear a rubber, or settle for another method of reaching climax.

I hold at as a human right, beyond the U.S. Constitution. There are a lot of coercive situations, based mainly on economics and power, which put women in situations where they have children they don't want to have. And what about the consequences to the inseminator? There are no natural things that happen to a man after he knocks up a woman. Man can get up from bed, put his pants back on - or not - walk outside, cross the street to get the mail and be hit by a bus. That baby is still coming. So, the final decision to have the baby should lie with the person whose birth it ultimately and irrevo

Women can't be free unless they have control over their reproductive systems. If men want to have babies, they can build one out of popsicle sticks.

With reluctance, yes, because it is reasonable to restrict access to that particular very powerful drug. It is not reasonable to make a woman have a baby against her will.

She can be a woman, man, Alaskan, mineral, vegetable, half-elf, half-orc, all orc, cylindrical or built like an Egyptian shithouse - if she don't support a woman's right to control her own uterus, I ain't pulling her lever.

She gotta be better than Romney. I think the logic may have been she brings the social conservatism Romney would have brought without any of the negatives of Mitt.

Unless you were living in Florida at the time, it wasn't your fault.

Maybe if enough people vote for a third party, that party will gain enough clout to have an influence on events. It's everybody's choice, but I see not voting as disrespectful.

Reproductive rights are pretty important if you have a uterus. I don't vote for people who are anti-abortion, and I don't even have a uterus.

On the Tavis Smiley show after the Obama speech, Julianne Malveaux and Cornel West totally lost their shit because Barack did not mention MLK by name.

I don't think so.

The Cubs are the best team in the NL by a far ways. If they don't win the pennant, they will have no one to blame but themselves. Ron Santo needs meds. Badly. He is a complete non-professional in the booth.

Sarah Palin is a lot smarter than Dan Quayle.

I believe that anyone who takes advantage of a natural disaster to loot and steal is in gross violation of the social contract at a time it needs to be adhered to more than ever. In a situation like Katrina, however, the expropriation of food, water and other emergency supplies had to be done because the government had failed so dramatically to hold up its end of the social contract. So, I dunno. Palin may be a great pick for McCain. Unlike Biden, who is not a bad guy, but not really that interesting, she makes an impact. She might and should get a massive amount of scrutiny - Alaska GOP pol

Honestly, I was not blown away by Obama's speech. I think he swung, but did not connect.
