And furthermore, it would have been hot if the junior senator from New York flashed Obama like he was Brett Michaels or something.

Apparently it wasn't until relatively recently in history (1913) that presidents actually gave it themselves. It started out that way, until T-Jeff stopped it, thinking it was too much like the King's address to Parliament. Maybe Obama can just Twitter the fucking thing next year. Oh, and I hope that whenever the next GOP president gives it and says something the Dems don't like, somebody hangs a moon.

I suppose Alito could have jumped up and screamed, "Oh, HELL no," or "Eat a bowl of hot fudge fuck, you lying sack of shit!" then rushed the podium.

After my nephew, 9, asked me at Christmas why we just don't invade Canada and take them over, I realized I have to get him this: http://www.amazon.com/Peoples-History-United-Enhanced-Omnibus/dp/1583228691/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1264717946&sr=8-1

Yeah, after the whole "You lie!" business, I am a bit suspicious of Alito. If you are smart enough to be a Supreme, you are smart enough to know a camera is on you. Maybe he even tipped off the media beforehand. Or it could have been an honest impulse.

OK - sorry, man. Wilco makes more money than I do too.

Do you have to constantly be traveling all over the country and world to make your living? I don't mean to bust on you, but these guys do earn their money.

Holy shit, there's auto-tune on it? There is just NO END to their suckitude, is there?

I think it is our reluctance to not end our subsequent wars in the same way we ended WWII that might have something to do with it. -
I wonder if all sorts of Howard Hughes-like stuff is going to come out now. Which should not diminish from the fact that the guy could spit rhymes with the best of them.

If somebody wants to buy me one, I am all for it.

That's the winner. Man - they were a good band back in the day. I would put that up to successful propaganda efforts, and Ronald Reagan.

This was a sellout, btw. The most crowded show I have been to there since Marillion in 1987. -
Corporations have tons more money than any of those sectors, and more vested interest in eroding regulatory protections.

On the fan BB for whatever the greatest band to come out of Washington, D.C., was/is.

Sure. I'll be over to your house soon to take everything you own by force. Survival of the fittest, you know, old chap. Ever hear of Thomas Hobbes? -
I think Pulsipher served me a taco the other day.

Capitalism killed EVERYBODY'S ancestors! -
Well, I will wait until there is some kind of Device Unity Point, so my phone, music, books, e-mail, dirty webchats, and garage-door opener can all be controlled with one unit which can conveniently interface with my brain via the lower intestine. 2012?

I guess the recession is over if people have money to spend on this thing.

Hey, my great-uncle got topedoed to death on one of those transports. Oh, and Mr. O., if you are referring to the Irish Potato Famine as the event which caused thousands of your ancestors to die or flee, the British, who had the food at the time to save the starving Irish, justified their not doing so with classic laissez-faire economic theory. So there's that - capitalism KILLED YOUR ANCESTORS. -
I think I look good in glasses, actually.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhopal_disaster THAT is what deregulation will lead to, and you're right - it's not rape. It's wholesale murder.

My homie had that problem too.
