What? It took Bush eight years to F this country and you expect Obama to un-F it in eight weeks?

Dude, everybody knows to grow the economy you have to grow infrastructure so the goods that a growing economy needs and produces can be moved to where they need to be. Geez.

I would not mind seeing Owens on the Giants, but Eli Manning would prolly kick my ass if he heard me say that.

Huh. That makes me wonder what Wayne Coyne expects out of me. If it's buying his records, so far he's SOL.

Sure we have plans. It is called "taxes" and our children's children's children's cloned robot babies are going to be paying them.

Any economy more complicated than the Cro-Magnons runs on borrowed money. The trick is not lending too much money to people who can't pay it back ever. They can take a long time to pay it back (the longer, the better for the lender, actually) but they have to pay it back for the system to work properly.

Werd. I think it might have something to do with the more money you have, the more morally correct your actions are.

OMG, I saw them on that tour. GREAT concert experience, bordering on religious delirium and rapture.

Dude the Jets just signed promised to bring "violence" to his new team's defense.

That's a dilemma. The movie might be incomprehensible unless you read the book, but the movie may well be so awful that reading the book, which is maybe the best comic ever, will make you really mad at the movie.

I haven't listened to this album in a long time.

I threw in the towel on Gravity's Rainbow halfway in. I liked V, but GR made no sense to me.

That is exactly right. His brand of "conservatism" flourishes when its adherents feel persecuted, kind of like Islamic extremism and National Socialism.

Advocated or not, we sure seem to be heading that way. Here are a few quotes from an appearance I covered last week by U.S. Rep. Maurice Hinchey. Hinchey said the stimulus package, $787 billion to be spent over the next two years, is a good thing, but if there was more of it, it would be even better.

Well, I am taking a snow day, but am risking the "wuss" label by doing so. I am making banana bread to bring in tomorrow to atone.

This is true. In politics, nothing lasts forever.

A truly great storyteller.

That was a fine post, right there.

See, it's a parallel to what Willie Sutton said when asked why he robbed banks. The American people as a whole (pardon the pinko language) voted for this when they elected Obama and the Democrats. (Dude obviously has his detractors, but he still has a two-thirds approval rating, I think.) To enact what the people voted for, Obama is going where the money is, where it has been migrating to since Reaganomics. It is authoritative redistribution of wealth, sure. But it's being done in an attempt, which may well not work and then IHVH help us, to restore a sustainable balance to the economy and res

I am exquisitely sensitive! -
I just hope it rocks. I need some rock.

The owners I think are in it for the money, too, no?

Probably, though it might take a good long while. It took me the better part of 20 years to stop feeling shitty about a girl I loved in high school, fer chrissakes. -
Yup. The Twins have had their moments, though.
