A little know band called Ours has my favorite screamer Jimmy Gnecco. The scream at the end of the song Fallen Souls is nuts!! Trent Reznor and Chris Cornell also has some quality screams...

I have been seeing Sigur Ros for since 2002 and each and every time it is a different expierence. It still amazes me to this day that a band with esentially no lyrics that anyone can understad that people sit their attentitively and eat up every minute of it. Some of the sounds Jonsi obtains aren't matched by any other bands! For this tour they do not have a string section and you can sense something is missing. Still a brilliant show as always. I still get goose bumps when I hear Vidrar live in the final buildup. Svefn is alway incredible live and there was also a healthy dose of Takk whic

I am thrilled beyond belief to see Echo and The Bunnymen perform at Radio City in October. They are doing Ocean Rain in its entirety with an orchestra! Should be sweet. Anyone seen them before? I only have their box set, Ocean Rain and Crocodiles (What a classic!) anyhoo just wanted to see if anyone else is a fan, has seen them live before or has other albums of theirs to recommend to me!

If the government wanted to save billions of dollars they would have outlawed short selling! This is the easiest thing they could have done to prevent this huge bailouts. Shorts artificially drove down prices on these giants where they couldn't raise capital anymore. Anyhoo my questions is $85 billion for this bailout?! Where does this money come from? Isn't this like half the cost of the Iraq war and magically we have the money to bail them out when we are not in the greatest economic shape right now? I understand the impact an AIG failure would have but where do we have all this money?

I saw that most shows are $90...how can they not have a range of prices? Who wants to pay basically $100 after service charges for a crappy nosebleed. Hopefully I will score a deal on ebay!

I think Don't Believe the Truth was a wonderful album! I hope I like this one as much!

It is crazy how the politics are down there and there is something to be said about Chavez and his control over Venezuela and a huge supply of Oil. I am supprised Bush hasn't done more about him? Also...pardon my geek geography statement. Venezuela is not part of Latin America.

On a related note Oil went below $100 a barrel today! http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/080912/oil_prices.html -
I find it ironic that it is named Hurricane Ike. Ike was from Denison Texas... My thoughts go to everyone in the path...be safe...better safe then sorry!

I completley understand what you were saying and you didn't come off as abrasive. I am sure you had a reason for your statement.

Is taking pictures then any different then taking pictures now? People still take pictures of sites of great destruction...Pearl Harbor, Gettysburg etc...I took a few pictures about a month or so after I am not going to lie. My reasons were so I can share them with my kids whenever I have them. Then again I was not a tourist as I have lived in the area for 20 years at that point. In addition I have also saved some major newspaper headlines etc...I am a history junkie and save things from major events. I do think it is crass though to take pictures to profit. I still think it is tacky and cra

Some of the attackers involved were planning some of the events while staying in my hometown of Wayne and these attackers stayed at the Wayne Inn a month or so before. They also all bought their sunglasses used during the attack at our local mall. It frightens me to this day knowing that that was going on less than a few miles from where my family lives.

I know it is straying off the original message of the topic but hearing others stories I believe is theraputic. I was in State College, PA at Penn State when it happened. I was actually at a radio station in town watching the tv's live as the 2nd plane hit. I was supposed to meet with a programmer there to discuss an advertising campaign that I was involved in. I of course as soon as I saw and heared about the attacks had a lot on my mind being as I grew up outside NYC and new tons of people who worked downtown (Fortunatley everyone I knew was safe...My brothers friend was the most affected

United Airlines Stock wild ride on false news story...
remphish1 replied to remphish1's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Supposedly Bloomberg news had a hand in releasing the story....investigation pending of course. I don't think there is anything the average investor can do to avoid a situation like this and that is what is REALLY scary!
