  1. REM first hear Stand on the radio back in 89...dug it. Then saw Losing My Religions premeir on MTV when I was 10. I used to sneak downstairs and watch MTV after mindnight when I was young. All the best bands were on late at night on MTV back then. Wilco read about Being There's album review in Rolling Stone Mag and it sounded interesting. Bought it..rest is history. Radiohead obviously heard Creep when it was out thought of it as a one ht onder. Then heard Just when that came out and was floored. Bought the album and didn't look back.
  2. How is Casino Royale 19?! I saw it when it came out and I barley remember what it was about! Also Back to the Future should be in the top 20 not 91!
  3. Hey..back in the USA! Finally can cross the street again without fear! Whoops can't do that in NYC! Had a wonderful time! Australia is Awesome! Went to Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Cairns and Birsbane all wonderful destinations! We had some Italian with Froggie and talked Wilco, USA and Australia! Had a good night out! Need to catch up on sleep amongst other things!
  4. What about sliced deli meat? How long would you keep something like that? I usually buy on sunday and throw out by friday if it is not used? Am I crazy? As for lets say Milk I will use it slightly past the expiration date if I need it for a ceral and don't feel like going to the store but never more than 2 days max past the date for me!
  5. Spin Doctors play around NYC once in awhile. I actually, thought it is probably not so cool to admit, saw them about 2 years ago and had a ton of fun!
  6. Chris Barron is a nice guy. Met him a few times as he used to play at the Knitting Factory Bar for free regularly. Good luck tonight!
  7. Here are three decent ones! Of course in the second one I look drunk!
  8. I did not take any but I hope attendes will email me some before I leave on friday! If so I will post some! Otherwise it may be months before the photographer sends them (He was on old school photographer not digital!)
  9. Hey all! What a hectic but wonderful weekend! I couldn't ask for anythng more! The weather which was supposed to be dicey turned out to be beautiful! Everything went by so quick and we barley had time to eat or drink which is unfortunate because everyone was telling me how good everything was! Everyone at the party was up and dancing the whole night. I can't describe my feelings ont hat day because I have nothing to compare it to! I am on cloud 9! Emily and I leave on our honeymoon on friday and we still have a lot of prepping for that! I will let everyone know how it goes along with my meetin
  10. Cool stuff! I wonder what each of them said when they saw the other signature on the Tupelo stuff. Has anyone had Jeff sign Tupelo stuff with Jay's signature on it before?
  11. Thanks for the pointers! I learned the hard way on a "shorter" flight to Tokyo where I didn't bring anything on the plane. Even at 13 hours I was tired, hungry and itching to change my clothes! Flying just knocks you out in all forms! Can't wait for this one!
  12. Strange story! How is this possible?! http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/05/3...t.ap/index.html
  13. Is that Miles Standish Hall..isn't that a BU dorm? I recognize the Citgo sign in the background!
  14. Unfortunatley my fiance and I have very little common ground musically. She likes sappy songs so we are having the Eagles Love Will Keep Us Alive..we both sorta like the Eagles which is one of the few bands we meet on. I did take her to see Wilco which she liked some of and Gary Louris. I actually relinquished alot of control on details of the wedding even in the music department (which is definatley my department) which has actually made it stress free on my behalf. I did realize most songs I would want to hear at a wedding are not good dancing songs. I mean it is hard to dance to most REM, R
  15. Ah Moe we we are both at the MSG 12/30/95 show. My favorite show of theirs I attended. I see you started seeing them in 89. How did you get into them then?
  16. Actually getting married in Long Island (Roslyn). Thanks for the well wishes everyone! I am sure I will have some stories to share. Hopefully the band we are having will break out with I'm Always in Love...They have been known to play Wilco songs before and I requested they throw some in if they can!
  17. Good luck in whatever is happening!
  18. Well I guess I am at the point of no return! I, Craig, aka remphish1 will be getting married in NY this sunday followed by a honeymoon to Australia later in the week! Wish me luck!
