I stayed at the Golden Nugget in the old downtown. Although I liked the hotel the location was faaaaar from the strip. Sure it was a fun area to walk around for a few hours but the strip is where it is at. In terms of beauty there are some casinos that have amazing archeteture and are fun to look at . I really liked Wynn, Belagio, Venetian, Ceasers and Mandalay Bay. I ate at Spago in Cesears and that was tasty! Clubs have long lines and are expensive. I went to the Palms waited online for 30 minutes and left because I am impatient. Hope this helps!

The way you can personalize your concert stats was always mindnumbing.

The economy will certainly have effects on everyones future such as how much social secuirty and other benefits received. An ever growing national debt surely won't make future generations become prosperous. Sure I get what your saying about Flint but you also got to look at some other factors. One other finanical indication of our nations overal economy. The Dow Jones went from 3300 to 10,800 (327% increase) when Clinton Was in office. With Bush it went from 10,800 to 12,200 (13% increase, which technically means we are negative if you just take 3% inflation a year) today.

There seems to be only one thing brought up about his presidency that republicans don't like and it has nothing to do with his policies.

I'm afraid that Obama is a bit inexpierenced. He seems like a good guy and is very personable but I don't think he has the expierence to lead the country. No thoughts on the others.

I don't think they should reunite...95-99 was strong but after that I did lose interest quickly.

2008.... BTW Matt I saw Super Fury Animals last night in Hoboken and I was standing next to Ira from Yo La Tengo the whole night. Said "Hey" to him....

Maybe we can get the to do the show for charity...between us we got $1150 and there is still room for another 298 people!
-
Hypothetical situation I suppose. Assume you could see the bands (One time..it wouldn't be a tour) in lets say a club with a maximum capacity of 300 or so what is the most you would pay to see each band. Uncle Tupelo $150 Wilco $75 Jeff Solo $50 Son Volt $30 Jay Solo $25 Yep.... Any thoughts....

I'm enjoying the stories! Thanks everyone for sharing! Keep em coming!

Just curious who is an OOOOOLD school fans. Anyone get to see Uncle Tupelo in Concert? If so...where was it, was it crowded? What songs really got the crowd going? Did you buy any merch? Anything else you can share?

I have a calender counting down the days!

Great...the $800 will barley cover the money I lost leaving my stock in the stock market thanks to the rotting economy!
-
Just an observation. Most peoples ideal setlist are close to the current setlist or feature mostly songs that have been played in the last year or so....

Back when I was a ute I used to like 1. Phish 2. Barenaked Ladies 3. Aerosmith 4. Weezer 5. Dave Matthews Band (didn't almost every teenager in 1995/6?) I really don't like any of them anymore. I would used to rush to buy albums by these artist not anymore. I still have my remphish1 user name which I am emotionally attached to though

I was fortunate enough to see the Eels show at Town Hall that was recorded for the DVD. Me and my friend are visible through most of the encore (especially during where they are playing the Prince Cover and Mr. E's BEautiful Blues. Great live show but songs are very depressing!
