Wow, nice job. I appreciate you guys taking the time out to figure this out.

Soooo....how do you play the song like Jeff does on the DVD?

My head is spinning.

There are also those that hate democracy.

I know this isn't technically a Tweedy song, but he does sing backup vocals on it, and it is really cool. This sounds pretty close to me, I played it using power chords. Let me know if this is accurate, I don't transcribe much. Intro: D D G C D I wanna destroy you D G C D I wanna destroy you D G C D I wanna destroy you D G C D I wanna destroy you C G I feel it coming on again C G Just like it did before C G They fill your mind with boredom C D And they lead you off to war C G The way we treat each other C G Really makes me fe

Not as far as I know (if you're referring to the Old Town Wilco Ensemble, and not some other class). btw, thanks for the clarification.

I don't get it. Please excuse my retardedness. Let me be more specific. During this part: [D] Is that the thanks that I get [G] for loving you [D] [D] Is that the thanks that I get [G] for telling you the [D] truth [G] You say you wanna [A] know [Em] Where I go when I go [G] [Em] You say you want to [G] communicate Are D and G played as open chords? Do you play the "D riff," and then just an open G chord? Are G, Em, and A played the standard way, or are they some drop D variation? I'm guessing that G is played in the drop D variation.

I agree completely. He was incredible. I haven't seen Son Volt with Brad Rice yet, but I hear he's even better. We'll see at the Taste of Randolph...

Shot out of a cannon. Actually, Chris Frame was only temporary. Brad Rice played on the album, but couldn't play on the first part of the tour because of some prior commitments.

Is this what you're looking for: http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?sho...6449&hl=spiders ? Ya, that tab covers some of what he plays, but it doesn't cover a lot of stuff. If anyone with an ear better than me can fill in the rest of the parts, that would be awesome...

you are a sweetheart. I need to buy you a beer some time

Actually, I am in the market for a new acoustic. I haven't decided what to get yet. I have a Fender something or another acoustic guitar with a Dean Markley Pro Mag Gold pickup. It was my first guitar.

What's a good acoustic guitar amp? I'm not looking for something ridiculous, but I don't want to get stuck with something crappy either. I went to Guitar Center and played around on a Marshall and a Fender. They sounded really nice, but I didn't want to make a hasty purchase. I realize I'm being vague, but I'm not sure exactly what to be specific about. Does anyone know anything about the Crate acoustic guitar amps? They seem a little cheap...

Indeed. Finger away.

I would be very grateful for a copy of the tab book...

Car's Can't Escape please! Shouldn't be too tough...

I must admit, very tempting.

Wow, nice work. Makes me wish I had a lap steel.

My bass is still hungry for tab.

Found this on a banjo website (in relation to tunings): http://zeppmusic.com/banjo/aktuning.htm

You'd think that there would be a tab floating somewhere out there for a song like this. I heard Tweedy play this at Otto's, it was the best thing I heard all night. I was hoping it was a new song, but it wasn't. I guess Tweedy is just really good at covering old songs. Anyway, does anyone think they can transcribe this? I'd love to learn it.

Also: the Jeff Tweedy solo version of ELT or Acuff Rose. Finger picking is also a fun trick to learn. Try the JT solo version of Sunken Treasure for this.
