I like it. I have been listening to it a lot. It doesn't have as many instrumental flourishes as Eggs, but I think it has a good vibe to it. When I first heard it I thought that it could possibly get radio airplay in the right time/place, but I forgot which songs I thought that about. -

Did anyone talk about Billy Joel's pitch correction yet? That was weird. -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthropic_principle Note: I believe that Uyen is correct. The Anthropic Priniciple is what you're talking about, but not what Tweedy is singing about.

I actually didn't intend for this to be a Bush-bashing thread. There are certain parts of the political spectrum in this country that don't believe that the income gap matters. It's nice to get some lip service, at least, from the President. I like Barney Frank's idea of shareholders approving executive compensation packages.

Are there any emulators that do that over a broadband connection? I remember playing SNES ROMS by dialing up my friend (awesome), but don't know how to do it otherwise.

He's not really scary as it relates to our country. I would agree.

What's amusing is that his parliament gave him that ability. "We agree with you almost all the time, and agree that you should have nearly absolute legislative power, but we're not going to bother with approving the laws you want. You should just do that yourself." Reminiscent of Congress' "Yeah, we have the constitutional responsibility of declaring war and all, but we're going to leave that one up to you."

Secret of the Sea on XRT. Are Chicagoans not supposed to play this game?

Here's a bit of odd news

It's possible that someone involved in the operation called in the scare because they weren't getting the attention that they originally hoped. -

I think they should be fined for littering. So what if it's clever? Don't let huge corporations use your public space for free. I think it's interesting that the media is referring to Turner, not AOL/Time Warner. -

That could be any tube in the bottle. Happy birthday. -
I've been listening to the Smithsonian Folkways series. All Songs Considered, This American Life. What have you been listening to? Any interesting university lectures? The ones I found on itunes typically don't work (expired downloads or something).
