  1. I liked Gene Siskel's "The fucking WASPs own all the insurance companies" outburst better.
  2. He starts too many threads and has an agenda. Todd Stroger also has an agenda. Can we do the primary over again?*
  3. People with squeaky shoes are so inconsiderate! Don't be a slave to fashion, darling!
  4. Arbitrary annoyances make me furious and feel unjustly wronged!
  5. So, who's the 38 year-old toolbox waving a red shirt around behind home plate while Garland is pitching? It certainly doesn't seem to be working, unless the guy's intention was to look like an assbag.
  6. I was fully immersed and obsessed with this process a few months ago. I got some acceptances, but had to put it off for a few years. I read http://www.lawschooldiscussion.org/prelaw a lot. I digested the numbers at http://lawschoolnumbers.com/. I probably didn't study for the LSAT as much as I should have. I probably studied the logic games section 10-20 hours (using the Power Score Logic Games Bible). The rest of the sections seemed pretty intuitive to me--they're all about reading comprehension and understanding how arguments are put together. These are pretty basic parts of a liberal
  7. I posted this a while back, don't know if anyone read it. It goes into the likelihood that a better team (better record, that is) would lose 4 straight playoff series--low. Then it examines possible reasons Beane's teams have failed. The conclusion is not enough emphasis on the bullpen and defense. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...mp;lid=tab3pos1
  8. I hate those "most ____" in postseason history stats that are always owned by recent Braves and Yankees players. Well, I don't hate the stats so much as how they're paraded about. It makes it sound as if they have the weight of baseball history behind them, when really it's hard to put them in context without another 20-30 years of a similar playoff structure.
  9. Don't read any of it. Not even a page. A little piece of you will die.
  10. I think that this is what by messages look like, but really I don't remember past now. Backspaceing is just second nature for me that I forget that I'm doing it.
  11. I'm not sure if posing as a celebrity on the internet is above or below writing, say, Mario Brothers fan fiction.
  12. M. Chris and wheelco, have you heard the Sufjan Stevens song about the Lord God bird? http://anon.npr-mp3.speedera.net/anon.npr-...atc_godbird.mp3
  13. Anderson generally has more opportunities for runs (batting 9th, the top of the lineup behind him) and Mackowiak generally has more opportunities for RBIs (batting 7th or 8th) behind the heart of the lineup. Mackowiak's OPS is much higher. However, like I said, Anderson is developing.
  14. Thanks for the tip. Nevertheless, that's what popped into my mind when I saw this thread. Must be the assonance.
  15. Daniel, you're a fine girl, what a good wife you would be. But my wife, my lover, my lady is the sea.
  16. Anderson was terrible at the plate, but his strikeouts are way down and he's been hitting over .300 for the month of July. The White Sox are developing him at the major league level like they developed Joe Crede. Check my post on the first page of this thread about his defense. The propellerheads were pegging him as a net positive over Mackowiak in the same spot even when he was batting .155. The White Sox are the best team in the game at scoring runs. That's not their problem. Run prevention is where they're suffering. I like Mack, don't get me wrong, that's just not a natural position f
  17. Mackowiak was playing, he misplayed a ball that turned into a double. He doesn't have the speed to be an everyday centerfielder. Anderson pinch-hit for him and went 1-1 with a sacrifice fly.
  18. Well, Brian Anderson has ridden a 7-game hitting streak to the mendoza line.
