  1. That was the creepiest post in the history of this board. Tied with the one dude who started a thread like "Who's the super cute blonde who was having a hard time getting into the Vic" Response: Dude, she's a minor, like 15 or something. His response: Oh, I was just wondering, I'm underage as well. Someone who knew the poster in real life: Dude, you're 26.
  2. I think I was right the first time, Caliber. Br'er rabbit was born and raised in a briar patch.
  3. I wish those congressmen making minimum wage would stop bitching about it.
  4. Yes, that's exactly what I meant. All pay should be inverse with employment opportunities. Line cooks should make six figures, etc. etc. I don't want people to get paid more because they have limited employment options, simply an honest pay for an honest day's work.
  5. You could say the same thing if the minimum wage were $3. It's only to start! No reason to raise it, it's only for people who have to pay their dues.
  6. Of course people get raises from the minimum wage. The minimum wage, however, is the starting point from which those raises will be made.
  7. Hey Wookies, stop being a tool. Or at least do it in your own thread. How old are you, 29? Jealously doesn't look good on you.

  10. It has to be the dumbest arguments I've been involved in recently. Including the one about whether closers have a different mentality than other pitchers.
  11. Calling it Gap music pays it too big of a compliment. Has anyone ever listened to the lyrics? It's about how he saw a pretty girl....and he doesn't know what he'll do because they'll never be together. I'm not sure how he'll make it.
  12. The posters in question are acquaintances of Mr. Bach. There you have it. If you need an official source, check the presskit for the musical he performed for. http://www.awolproject.org/TheShaggs_ElectronicPressKit.pdf I wouldn't expect you to know who knows who or anything like that, but you kind of went out of your way to be a dick.
  13. Wait, she left her own car a mess and with no gas in it? That bitch@!
  14. Touched on, already, but the thread title isn't obvious. http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?showtopic=23504
  15. I think he's buying crickets for his lizard. Not a figurative, symbolic, representative, or metaphoric lizard, but the green, scaly, literal kind.

  17. He was on Chicago Tonight the other day. It was neat.
  18. Well, it's just too perfect. Like Bush asking the Brazillian PM if they had blacks there. It fits preconceived notions too well to be true.
  19. So, um, which is/are the best one(s)?
  20. Anyone ever see The Million Dollar Hotel? That has to be one of the worst movies he's been in.
  21. We Were Soldiers. How was that? I once had a coworker tell me that she was a history major and that she really enjoyed We Were Soldiers because there weren't any big/good Vietnam movies other than that.
  22. http://www.tmz.com/2006/07/28/gibsons-anti...leged-cover-up/ There's also this, which sounds iffy.
