  1. Why are you defending scalping? In both of my posts I used words like "assume" and "guess". It was not a scientific study to put a specific number on "legitimately brokered" tickets, or whatever euphemism you want to slap on it. It was a casual guess born of simple curiosity of how many tickets were bought for these shows with the express purpose of reselling the tickets at (significant) profit (SCALPING). To reiterate: Based on the number of tickets for sale today on eBay, and assuming that number does not represent the real number of scalped tickets out there, my 'educated' guess is that
  2. Oh yes! There are many that got tickets during the presale. I mean thank God. Just throwing stuff out there to kick around. You know me.
  3. My guess would be that between 15 and 20% of the available tickets were purchased by scalpers. I'm assuming (as I said in my other post) that simply counting the tickets available today on eBay is not a complete representation of scalped tickets out there or those already sold. To fans who tried to get tickets and failed, another 300 to 500 per show would have a made significant difference. Personally, I tried for tickets during the Saturday sale. Mostly out of curiosity, as I had not planned to go. I have never been shut out of a sale before, (including easily getting Saturday night ticke
  4. Um if you're talking to me, you're barking up the wrong tree. Just reporting the facts.
  5. I quickly perused eBay for ticket sellers and prices. On the regular eBay tickets there were approxomately 250 tickets up for sale. The StubHub deal had a total of 1000 tickets for all 5 nights. What's the Riv capacity? Assuming my count on eBay represents a small percentage of tickets that were bought for the sole purpose of reselling at a higher price ($90 to $365 on eBay), ticket sellers who don't list the actual numbers of total tickets they have, and considering the tickets which have already been sold from eBay, I'd say that scalpers were able to purchase a significant portion of the
  6. I'm getting an external HD next week, and I know I'm going to feel like a retard trying to get my stuff on there.
  7. Grateful here too! Best new album I have heard this year (and there have been some tremendous recordings). Can't wait for it to be released. solace my game, solace my game it stars you swing wide your crane, swing wide your crane and run me through Amazing lyrics too.
  8. I was one of the earlier views of this thread who did not reply, and I apologize for that.
  9. The Law of Attraction refers to an esoteric principle that individuals experience physical and mental manifestations corresponding to their predominant thoughts, feelings, words, and actions; and that they thereby have the ability to control the reality of their lives through thought alone. The principle is based on the concept that a person's thoughts (conscious and unconscious), emotions, beliefs and actions attract corresponding positive and/or negative experiences. This process has been described as "harmonious vibrations of the law of attraction", or "you get what you think about; your th
  10. Marin county is one of the best places on earth. Hike or play Frisbee golf on Mt. Tam. Explore Muir Woods. Drive over Mt. Tam to Stinson Beach. Shoot some pool at the 2AM Club in Mill Valley. I wish I was there right now. Check it north of the Bay Bridge.
  11. Presale is allotted a miniscule percentage of the total tickets. Calm down.
  12. She lives close to the shore in Maine, viatroy! *swoon* I would reiterate what everyone else has said here. Going to my first Wilco show 3 years ago, opened the flood gates of a dormant passion to see live music. Wilco fans are mostly terrific. And to see the band live is one of the best treats you could give yourself. I call it the "Indelible Wilco Burn." Have a great time, and post a gushy review in the "After the Show" forum.
  13. I'm mad for your avatar ^ tangara.
  14. The Riv website says the curfew is 10:30 weeknights...11:30 weekends. Early pearly.
  15. Sorry to hear of your rough patch, Mende. Here's hope for better days ahead.
  16. Happy birthday Lindsey! I hope you and Charles are having a wonderful weekend together.
  17. It's funny, it's always your feelings I consider when I say critical things about Imo's.
  18. Well made, I love both archetypes.
  19. No. I don't care about being a connoisseur. I don't care about Chicago v New York pizza, as I have not eaten pizza in either city. I just care about what tastes good. I slung pizza for 10 years and never grew tired of eating it. One of the best pizzas I have ever eaten was from a tiny hippie joint nestled in the Ozarks outside of Eureka Springs. (Might have been the all day canoe trip that preceded it, however!) My solution to the Imo's pizza issue is having eaten it once about 15 years ago, I never ate it again. Life's too short for sketchy pizza.
  20. Happy birthday mister bed. I hope you have a delightful birthday weekend!
  21. Yeah...it was the cheese thing that I remember. It was nasty. I remember thinking, "Surely they didn't mean to do this". Provel? Ew. My trio of pizza cheese is usually smoked provolone, pecorino and parmesan either grated or in the pesto. Gorgonzola or bleu frequently. The only 'processing' occurs on top of the stone in my oven. Home made pizza tonight biotches!
