One Hundred Dollars - Move Along We can move along now We can move along when we're staring at the top from the bottom rung We can move along now We dug in the duty with our poor great teeth and our heads down low. Moving day and then you'll find, the ladder rung, no time to fly Oh my darling look now Things are going better than I ever had foreseen Time ain't here to trip on Sugar turns things grey, but it also turns them green We can move along when we're staring at the top from the bottom rung We can move along now Over the wall to the shore where the breaks begin Find a stone t

Okee! Put the Jay Clark song on just for you. Rest of the album is equally strong. I've got some zipping to do.

I ever send you Jon-Rae and the River? Incredible. They are like Magnolia Electric Company but instead of werewolves/ moons and memory spells they sing about sex.

Ian Tyson - Someday Soon There's a young man that I know whose age is twenty-one Comes from down in southern Colorado Just out of the service, he's lookin' for his fun Someday soon, goin' with him someday soon My parents can not stand him 'cause he rides the rodeo My father says that he will leave me cryin' I would follow him right down the roughest road I know Someday soon, goin' with him someday soon But when he comes to call, my pa ain't got a good word to say Guess it's 'cause he's just as wild in his younger days So blow, you old Blue Northern, blow my love to me He's ridi

The CFL Sessions - Song Written Upon Getting Cut From the Argos http://www.thecflsessions.ca/songs.html We could walk all night in this city And still be in this city We could talk all night about leaving And still be in this city I could drink all night in this city If we had any money Would you rather be sober and tired Or drunk and bankrupt? We could dig all night in this city And still be in this city We could dream of our home And still be in this city I could drink all night in this city If we had any money Would you rather be sober and tired Or drunk and bankrupt?

wish I had written this '"Stay With Me" is in the Kool-Aid Man Hall of Fame for a reason and a fail-safe asshole test. Play this song for anyone between the ages of 25-65 and at least two beers in their system. If they're appropriately socialized, they'll be cannonballing into the hot tub at "red lips, hair, and fingernails." If they remain unmoved, as if The Faces were mere soundtrack music to their private drama ... asshole. Keep stepping.'

Nathan Lawr - Secret Carpentry Now I'm crawling up your steps tonight Peeping through your peeping hole I'll be buzzing round like a moth Round your porch light If you don't call out my name I will be alright

Correction Line Ensemble. Can't wait to hear more.

wow - even the Great Lakes Swimmer's soundtracks are pretty good.
-
Rickwhitealbum - Memoreaper Was worried that this would be way out there and unlistenable. Really really surprised, this is great. Blue Fog is easily the best label in the world.

listen. I don't do douche-offs, but you asked and got a reply. It might have been an off-night, but the mixture of jammyness, forced 'Let's everybody have a great time' banter and estrogen fueled songs from an all-male band was not something that is to my taste. There are certain acts that do this - Jesse Malin and his use of 'Hey let's sit on the floor in circle like a campfire' comes to mind. It makes me run for the exit. Trouble is, I really wanted to see them and like them. The Be Good Tanyas covered a song of theirs that was pretty excellent - hence the tour with Po Girl, when Trish

sorry. this band is horrible. Saw them with Po Girl and it was a competition to see which was worse.

Cool Kyle - thanks - I will give it more of a listen.
-
cool Kalle - How did Grooves records and the Open House people treat you? You were with Alex, Patterson and Sara on tour? Saw them last Thursday at a CBC R3 thing and they were REALLY good. ie going from a band that I'm friends with and do the ra-ra thing because they are local, to a really really great act that I can without conscious, pimp. Can't wait 'till the second album in the Fall
