wow, I really like that. this morning as i was walking into the humanaties I noticed a ton of birds flying in formation. it was really cool to watch.

I'd say a 30 gig iPod would do just fine for your collection! I have about 20 gigs of my 60 filled up. Roughly 4000 songs, but some of mine are in a high quality than the AAC encoding that's reccomended. I bought one of those iTrips, and it works really well for me. Though really I bought it because my friend works in a record store, and he gave me a good deal. So far it's been on 2 road trips with me (to Knoxville and Atlanta) and it's done well. And ipods can vibrate?

That's crazy! All the great venues disappeared before I got to see shows in them. Now all we have is Rhythm and Brews, which used to be a cool piano thing. Ryan Adams played there in 99. I got a leak of "Neon Bible" off the internets last week, and while I've heard some say that the leaks sound like junk mine sounds really good... strange. It's a really great record though. I like it tons more than "Funeral" which I like quite a bit.
