I was definitely surprised by Sondre Lerche's record... very good, a bit more focused than "Phantom Punch". Favorite fall release for sure. Very disappointed in the new Avett's record as a whole. I miss the banjo and the rough edges. At least their live show was amazing. Really digging the new Son Volt record. Might be favorite of the year next to W(TA).

guest list means ticket, unless you get up there to get said ticket and lady working tickets says "here's your tickets and backstage passes". it's just that simple.

i love these loft pictures, because you can be as obsessive as you want without actually scaring anyone! it's neat to see an inside veiw of the place many of us will never see in person. also, while we are on the subject, the mighty boosh is hysterical. my sister and i watch episodes through on demand thing our cable provider has.

just read through the thread. how sad. i thought it would share my jay bennett story... he came through chattanooga when i was 16, my dad was really cool and took me to see the show. they were having technical problems that night, and we ended up having to leave before even seening jay play/ however, my dad had talked to the sound guy, and asked if jay would sign my copy of palace. dad and i were sitting at this table, and jay actually came and sat down and talked with us for the better part of an hour. we talked about music and i told him i was learning to play the guitar and he told me to

You can find the Berkeley show over at Owl and Bear for free and it's a matrix of the roadcase and audience recordings... probably my favorite show of the 3 I was at that tour...

Thanks A-Man! I am still missing all the Beach Boys stuff... managed to find almost everything else I lost save for some live shows. I did get the particular Wilco shows I was looking for thanks to some awesome VC'ers.

I would love to get the home answering machine one! As if my friends need any more of a reason to think I am Wilco-crazy!
-
I think we should all put our usernames on the shirts! Instant name tags for shows!
-
nice to see they have applecare!
-
yeah that is true, but I sure will be sad if it happens. Is this the longest span a line-up of wilco has been together?
-
also, the double tracked vocals on "Solitaire" are fantastic... with headphones on it feels like Jeff is singing right at me!
-
i sure hope not.
-
i reckon it might be my favorite song on the record.
-
i agree. the melody to this song is gorgeous. ahhhh what i would give to write a song remotely close to this!
-
i also did a google map search, and it was a camel farm!
-
wilco could play mode scales on kazoos with nels playing spoons and i would buy the record and love it....
