has anyone else on the board heard this record?? it was way different than the debut, and def not what i was expecting it to be. i think it is probably the definition of a grower for sure. -
we have 2 buildings now. a primarily fresh water buiding that was built in 1992 (i say primarily fresh water, because the first thing you see is a seahorse exhibit that is salt water). the rest of the building is fresh water. we are the largest fresh water facility in north america (at one point, we were the biggest in the world). the design of the aquarium is supposed to mimick a river's flow to the ocean. we opened ocean journey in 2005, and it features a 618,000 gallon salt water tank that is modeled after the flower garden banks national marine sanctuary off the coast of tx. we also hav

it makes me happy. the people who work there are great too, they play great music. nothing like eating a hot dog and listening to neko case and MMJ
-
mostly cos the weather is not supposed to be good this weekend. the only time i like rock city is around Christmas when they have the lights up. i think our aquarium is better laid out than atlanta. check us out at tnaqua.org

i may be biased but i wasn't that impressed with the GA aquarium
-
oh, if you wanna get off the main strip of downtown there is a record store called Chad's. i can spend all day in there... it's on Vine St and Lindsay St. Also, I am off work, so I could show you around the aquarium if you wanted (you'd have to buy a ticket though)

the aquarium is awesome! i work there! rock city is a tourist trap...avoid it i don't know, if the weather is nice the walking bridge is fun, and the north shore area is great... there's a restaurant called Good Dog over on the north shore, and you should eat there. it is my new favorite restaurant. there is a pretty good art museum too.

if i didn't have plans already i would go to this... did you hear Justin Townes Earl is coming to J.J.s on the 8th... the show booker people are doing their job well!
-
it might not be a good thing to be on the front row for this show then, huh?

My dog likes it too... she seriously freaked out the other day... it was crazy. I left it on for 30secs then turned it off cos I didn't want to hurt her ears

i saw it and geeked out. i am gonna buy the vinyl/t-shirt/tote bag combo of the new record. i bet this record will sound really great on the turntable.

about a 3rd of the set Saturday was new stuff, i'd say. it was all really great. It was really more of a low key show, a lot more slow/mid-tempo numbers, but really good. I was suprised there were no UT numbers... here are my pics from the Chatt Show... http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=6213...120&l=dd7cc P.S. DS, any way I can send you a B&P for the May '07 Chatt show?

At the first show I saw it was around 50.... 52 I think... I remember counting and my dad said to me "is he ever gonna quit?" edit- just listened to it, 32... i was way off.

so, this doesn't mean anything, but at the Birmingham (i think) son volt show the other day (i am repeating this from reading it on the SV board) some guy yelled at Jay that "Tweedy is a fag" and Jay got pissed and told the guy "I don't go to your work and scream obnoxious shit at you!" and as they left the stage gave the guy the finger, so in effect Jay stuck up for Jeff...
