H to the ickle
Yeah, so the Cardinals just kicked the collective asses of the Tigers and it feels good. w00t.

bjorn_skurj
Delgado Is Recipient of the Clemente AwardBy TYLER KEPNER ST. LOUIS, Oct.
bobbob1313
My mom being from Peurto Rico and my dad being from Pittsburgh, Clemente is pretty much a god in my house. My dad considers him the greatest player he ever got to see play live. It's amazing how much the public opinion of Delgado has changed since he came to New York. Remember when everyone absolutely hated hime for not standing for "God Bless America"?
MrRain422
what was zumaya thinking? great game by carpenter, hopefully bonderman can get the tigers going tomorrow. Zumaya was just painful. I was so psyched to see him coming into the game. It's a shame, but I guess after all that time off he just didn't have any control tonight. I think that Bonderman will pitch great, but who knows if they'll even put up any runs for him. Granderson is striking out again. Pudge has been terrible. Even normally reliable Placido Palanco is putting up 0-fers. Pitching's been alright for the most part, but all their errors and their way of hacking away at the plate are catching up to them. tongue-tied lightning
I can see hating LaRussa, but Pujols seems to be all class. I reserve the right to change that assessment after he is linked in some way to steroids or HGH.it's just my impression, after watching the Met series he seemed a bit arrogant maybe it's his goatee
MrRain422
I've always thought Pujols was awfully likeable for a superstar that doesn't play for my team.
Sir Stewart
If that Belliard dude doesn't roll his fkkn' sluglike tongue back in his mouth for tonight's game I'm gonna rip it off. Or turn the station.
parisisstale
He always was likeable until this year. He's just come off as a real prick the last few weeks. Of course, 2 more wins and no one will care how big a prick he is Speaking of no one caring, it appears that no one outside of St. Louis and Detroit cares about this series. I know the fans of these teams could care less, but Fox is crying every night over this match-up.
explodo
Fox is crying every night over this match-up.Which makes it even better to me.
Sir Stewart
All hail King Kaufman and the words he spoke, which I am reminded of everytime Fox uses any kind of graphic during a game: "Fox hates baseball."

fickerson
If that Belliard dude doesn't roll his fkkn' sluglike tongue back in his mouth for tonight's game I'm gonna rip it off. Or turn the station. i have frightened my roommates several times over the last week or two by screaming at the tv every time they show him.
Sir Stewart
I'm glad we're on the same page Ficky. LaRussa looked like a kid in a candy store when Edmonds doubled last night. I think the guy's likeable. Anyone ever read Three Nights In August (not sure of the title)?

H to the ickle
LaRussa looks like an angry old man, which he may be, but he's been the manager of the Cardinals for practically my whole life. He's like a weird friend of the family that comes over once a week and grumbles alot.
quarter23cd
he's been the manager of the Cardinals for practically my whole life. ...this makes me feel old because I still think he looks weird without an A's uni on.
Sir Stewart
...this makes me feel old because I still think he looks weird without an A's uni on. Old people unite!
MrRain422
I don't think of myself as being all that old, but I still remember LaRussa pretty clearly as the A's manager. But yeah, I guess this was his 11th year in St. Louis already. Much longer than it seems.
paul137
Old people unite! i still think of him as manager of the a's also.
caliber66
Yeah, well I think of him as a Kansas City A's middle infielder. So there.

Yeah, well I think of him as a Kansas City A's middle infielder. So there.
