imsjry
Nice list but I really want someone to explain the Jenny Lewis thing to me.
Mrs. Peel
16. Catfish Haven - Please Come Back/Tell Me Wow, really? I saw them open for The Hold Steady a few weeks ago and I wasn't too impressed.
Brundog
27. My Brightest Diamond - Bring Me the Workhorse All right! Finally, a top 50 list with My Brightest Diamond. That album is totally awesome in my opinion. I saw her at 7th Entry in Nov and First Ave 2 weeks later.. totally great shows. My only complaint is, you should move it up your list a bit
Mystik Spiral
my brightest diamond was on my top 50 list... but at #31.
Dr. Steve Brule
Wow, really? I saw them open for The Hold Steady a few weeks ago and I wasn't too impressed. I really love 'em, and I know a lot of people are more "meh" about them. I have known them for a while, so it could be a subconscious nepotism thing as well. Jenny Lewis... I dunno, I just really really fucking love that record. My Brightest Diamond might have been a bit higher, but I didn't get to listen to it all that much.
Mystik Spiral
i explained jenny lewis once, before the board went down. don't feel like doing it again. she's great.
brianjeremy
Nice list but I really want someone to explain the Jenny Lewis thing to me. Me too, I was bored to tears with her album. Just didn't do it for me the way a Rilo Kiley album does it for me, you know what I mean?
solace
y'know i think i only listened to that My Brightest Diamond record once or twice, which is silly cuz i LOVED Shara opening for Sufjan in '04. First and only female to give me "Jeff Buckley chills" thanks for reminding me to check it out more
Dreamin'
No love for the new Sloan, Sam? I guess, technically, it hasn't been released yet (in the US) on Yep Roc. It's all over the place, but I really love the "Jay songs" and "Fading Into Obscurity."
tugmoose
Centro-Matic at ACL was amazing. very cool seeing them on the big stage, Scott Danbom on the Jumbotron!
Dr. Steve Brule
Me too, I was bored to tears with her album. Just didn't do it for me the way a Rilo Kiley album does it for me, you know what I mean? To further confuse things I like the Elected, Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins, and Postal Service and hate Rilo Kiley and Death Cab For Cutie. Judy - I ADORE the Sloan record, but I am going to count that for 2007, and I'm pretty sure in the Top 10.
Beltmann
To further confuse things I like the Elected, Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins, and Postal Service and hate Rilo Kiley and Death Cab For Cutie.Me, I love Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins and like Rilo Kiley, but hate Postal Service and Death Cab. I'm also baffled by this.

solace
The Postal Service's record is still one of my faves... they were lame as hell live, but that record kicked my ass for the first half of 2003, for sure. and turned me into an electo/indie pop nerd
