yeah, my wife and my friend Travis and I will be in for at least 2 of those, maybe 3, we'll see. as great as they are, 3 nights at that big of venue might be a bit much.

 

Sweet, I've been really wanting to see Califone who play in Madison on 5/18, so I may just do Saturday night.

I am going to guess that those NYC shows end up at Hammerstein Ballroom. The Decemberists made the jump there last tour. Damn. Three shows, though, so I am holding out hope for Webster Hall.

 

(good thing I have a ticket to tomorrow's show at Judson Memorial Church!!)

2-3 years ago they were playing art galleries. this has got to rank as one of the biggest jumps in popularity(in the music world)

No diggity. Hopefully the shows don't lose all of their energy from the combination of larger venues and the more subdued new songs.

There is still nothing approaching Rebellion or Power's Out but the new stuff is performed with a lot more energy live than I might have thought.
