Sir Stewart
Okay, I'm diving in...Wow, looks like they lost a good chunk of their top ten way back in the mid-one hundreds:155 PRINCE SIGN OF THE TIMES 1987 Pop156 PUBLIC ENEMY IT TAKES A NATION OF MILLIONS TO HOLD US BACK 1988 Rap157 BOB DYLAN BLOOD ON THE TRACKS
cryptique
The RnR HOF just won't have any credibility until they induct Pete Rose.
IATTBYB
After reading the above posts, I just can't drag myself to read the actual list. I was kinda wanting to have a good day & I'm afraid if I read that list I'd probably want to go on a homicidal rampage.C'mon, you can join the posse!
quarter23cd
if I read that list I'd probably want to go on a homicidal rampage. Its not really as infuriating (or even entertaining) as it would initially seem. I feel like I'm sorting through somebody's record collection where they forgot to hide all the embarrassing stuff. I guess there's a kind of honesty in that...just kind of amazing to think that this was published as a "definitive" list by an organization who (in theory) is supposed to, you know, have a decent ear for music. What's next, the Spice Girls ahead of Lou's NY or something ?
uncle wilco
eagles - hell freezes over # 71 Â match box twenty - yourself or someone like you #91 Â kenny g - breathless #107Â john lennon - imagine #144Â bob dylan - blood on the tracks #157Â
Synthesizer Patel
I think the fact that it's a Rock N' Roll hall of fame and 90% of it isn't Rock N' Roll is rather funny in itself. I like this list. It's wrong in so many ways that there's got to be something deeply right about it on some untapped level.
Sir Stewart
eagles - hell freezes over # 71 Seriously. Wasn't that album their live reunion one from a few years ago? WTF?
cryptique
To make this list, I think they just pasted in this month's Columbia House catalog.
Sir Stewart
I just noticed Will Smiff's BIG WILLIE STYLE (1997) is right above Sign 'O' The Times.
