NO!

Am i the only one who is put off by this?

god I hate that pretentious garrison keiller shitfest.

there idea of humor is all like "this segment brought to you by johnson's shoe polish....its polish for you shoes (laughter)"

i find that whimsical bullshit to be about as irritating as nails on a chalkboard. 'be more funny!'

if i wasn't such a wilco partisan, i would call this a real 'jump the shark' moment.

...i would say that PHC is aggresively irritating at worst and frighteningly mediocre at best

"get and and vote!"

moderate liberal sensibilities in 07

initiative.

PHC is a fine show.

I listen every week, and this week, all the more reason.

As for the whole "Dad-Rock" thing... What's wrong with it? Not everything needs to remain cutting edge all the time.

There is something to be said for comfort

what would be without Wishful Thinking? ;)

i don't think they'd have any problem selling out (or close) First Ave if they announced the show on Tuesday or Wednesday next week and even just did day of show tickets only at like $25-30 a pop...

my thought is the band may not bring their own equipment for APCH, simply cuz it is only 2-3 songs or so. a Jeff solo show might be more feasible :beer

Well, when the double-super-secret Solace phone rings, please let the rest of your fellow Minnesotans in on the secret gig. :pray

Or just send me a PM.

Although this solidifies the band as true "Dad-rockers," I'll be there with a bigass smile on my face.

Wilco's inclusion in this months Reader's Digest as one of the "Five Things We Don't Want You To Miss" solidifies their "Dad-rockers." Yeah, so I read Reader's Digest every once and while, I read it for the centerfolds!! :pirate

Sky Blue Sky, the latest release from Wilco, is a hopeful, homespun, melodic collection of tunes from the six-piece Chicago band led by the songsmith Jeff Tweedy.

"wouldn't this be a good time for a slice of rhubarb pie?"

the point of storytelling isn't neccessarily to be funny.

the show's had it's high and low points, but i remain an avid listener, 17 years and counting! :pirate

for the record: got me some fab seats for the show. third time seeing it live, first time in minneapolis! woo! :dancing

wonder if the state theatre sells carafes of margaritas like the hollywood bowl? :cheers
