ms. yvon
great fun!!!! Yvonne & I were 3rd row! i'll post some photos tomorrow. personal highlight of the show: hearing the opening bars of "roses", turning to kyle and getting a nod of "oh, yeah." for the record: great show all around! the guys really looked like a bunch of nice boys. (wonderful young band!) the songs were well selected. well done! as they got close to the bust out section of "muzzle" i wondered how big the break would get. lovely arrangements. it was fun to watch the band on stage waiting to play while sketches were performed. looked like nels was anticipating the end of the ketchup jingle to hear just what ketchup would be "flowing like" this week. jeff had a lyric bungle or two during "hesitating." which is only notable b/c of his smiling, embarassed reaction and looks to john and glenn, and their knowing looks to him. pat and mike alternated spots at rich dworksky's grand piano. for "light" mike was on the organ which looked to be sitting on the porch of the set dec. house. for "muzzle" pat was seated behind glenn. small area for such a big band, don'tchewknow. (it's 2:30am and my word usement is suffering a bit... ) after the show i wandered over to get a cuppa joe and ended up in front of 1st ave. there was a small group of people outside. as i walked past i overheard a "mmrmrmm wilco mmrmrm." i stopped, asked them if they were speculating about a suprise wilco show. they were. we dispersed to see what we could learn. after getting the straight dope from jason, a few of us headed over to a pub. while there, 3 sets of people came up to tell us that they'd learned there was no other show. funny little network operation. as always: met some terrific people, had some great beer, and wrapped the night out watching tv at the hotel ("casablanca" was on pbs!! hot damn!) added bonus: LIGHTNING SHOW from my 8th story window tonight. woot! M. (hristine
As cheesy as PHC can be sometimes, I have always enjoyed the show and especially the eclectic mix of terrific musicians featured. This sounds like an absolute hoot! Thanks!

Basil II
> Some else HERE who knows WHO the f*ck John Stewart is???? Color me impressed!!!!wasnt he the dude that had the Gold song back in the late 70s?? (with stevie nicks on backing vocals)? He was that.........even though "Gold" was a commercial highlight,I consider his mid to late 70's output almost unlistenable.... -Robert.

bwhite0421
just now listening to the sunday re-airing on kuhf in houston. i can't explain what it means to hear Wilco on APHC. i guess it's kinda like the cool whip on top of the pumpkin pie for me. obviously we're all fans of the band and definitely some diferent opinions on the radio program but if you like both it's a very special thing indeed. cheers, b

solace
where's Pat & Mikael you say? Pat is behind Glenn and Mikael was playing on the grand piano to the left of Nels (you can see part of his body in #3) and then his other keyboard was just behind nels' amps
viatroy
musta been fun -- damn the haters. I love the corny humor of PHC, and Wilco is a natural fit for that show.
sam
i listened to this while driving to my parents house for mother's day.i left when the show started and got home when they started roses. so i sat in my car and listened until my parents came out, wondering what i was doing sitting in the car singing. it was great to hear wilco live on the radio. i was rocking out and driving way too fast during muzzle of bees. it was so awesome that they played that. was hestitating beauty the last song? i didn't finish listening to it. blueyedsoul
thanks for the pictures! we were in the absolute last row in the theater, so i was thankful that it was a radio broadcast that i was watching. it made it less frustrating that i couldn't see well.
