Being There ISN'T the album that...

...preceeded Summerteeth.

Unless you don't count Woody Guthrie as a member of Wilco.

you probably shouldn't use words like preceded if you don't know what they mean...

You didn't use it OR spell it correctly. Thats all I'm saying.

Ha, you're right too. (on the spelling)

As for the usage, I was attempting to be humorous/cute; but also 'factual', as I consider MA1/2 to be "Wilco records". Perhaps a discography reminder is needful here.

Therefore, BT preceeds St -- but only if you don't count Mermaid. I hope that isn't too twisted for you. ;)

preceded means "To come, exist, or occur before in time." Perhaps you folks are confusing "preceded" with "directly preceded"

Following the logic of the title post, Sarchi states that "Being There ISN'T the album that... ...preceded Summerteeth".

But Being There did precede Summerteeth. AM also preceded Summerteeth. So did Mermaid Ave.

I had a similar problem

waking up would certainly end the nightmare.

but if one is sleeping quietly, would one be having nightmares?

Webster's defines "disquiet" as "to take away the peace or tranquillity of"

My nightmares don't typically involve peace and/or tranquility. So again, I'm stuck on how one could take away the peace or tranquility of (disquiet) a nightmare?

Holy Christ! You misread it and now want to pass it off on the semantics? I can't believe I'm even responding to this.

"The" album clearly implies "the one", the one that directly preceded it. Not "an album", not all the prior ones, not one of the billions of other records that also preceded it. Yeesh.
