ChicagoPepper
Anyone know where I can get/download Wilco's PBS Soundstage performance from '03? It was my first wilco show, and even better, they opened with the original version of Handshake Drugs. This is all I could find online from the show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlmi4W9DyIU...28Soundstage%

Guest tandylacker
That original version of Handshake Drugs is kind of obnoxious. At least the audio over youtube... Maybe it sounds better on the DVD.... Also, quick note.... Does anyone on this message board actually like Wilco or is everyone just in love with what they used to be and/or the possibility of what they can be/return to. I'm just not buying this idea that the other members of Wilco are contributing so much that they need to be around for Wilco music to be great. There's always other drummers, bassists, guitar players, piano players, etc... Jeff Tweedy though... Can't you all just be happy that 10 years later they're still making music in some form of the band or another?
W(TF)
Sweet, thanks for posting that. I love the Wilco VU meter.

M. (hristine
MAN, I miss that band Jeff's lead is visceral, primal and compelling. I miss that element.Though from his perspective it must have been exhausting. Thanks for posting this. I really enjoyed it.
mpolak21
me too I'll third that, possibly the definitive lineup for me, no offense Mrs. Cline and Sansone. --Mike

Thanks for posting this. I really enjoyed it. Me too. But I think they might be spending just as much energy trying to look happy all of the time. Wilco seems more like an advertising campaign than it does a band these days. And by the way, all of their live songs sound exactly like they do on the records. They need to jam out much more! Wilco LP #7
I miss that band in the studio. The band as it is live is pretty pristine.

TheMaker
The watered-down Bach incarnation shouldn't be anybody's favourite iteration of Wilco. Jesus Christ, that's just so, so sad... (There were a lot of open spaces where the music should be, but in the bad way.)

LouieB
I think Leroy Bach is great. Look, I don't want to be an asshole but what the fu...?A bunch of us got to see Leroy the other night back up Marvin Tate; he looked like he was having a ball. It is inevitable that people will pine for the "good old days", no matter who was in the band at the time. Wilco has become a big name band afterall and things simply are not the same.
