badger
How I scoffed when I first read this thread..........but now I'm getting into it! It might be just me, but I think there are an awful lot of Wilco songs which mention: Birds, sky or skies, or flying in some way. A random selection completely off the top of my head: She's a Jar, I thought I held You, Dash 7, Ashes of American Flags, Summerteeth, SBS (duh!), In a Future Age, Impossible Germany........ Check it out and see how many you can find!! On the other hand, I might just need to get out more.
W(TF)
Birds, sky or skies, or flying in some way. Funny...I've been listening to A.M. a lot this week, and every time I listen to Should've Been In Love, I can't help imagining hang gliding along the central California coastline, on a crystal clear Sunday morning. (not that I've ever done that!) It's weird. The song has such a positive guitar vibe considering the lyrical subject. Somehow conjures up hang gliding...solitary but definitely not lonely. Choo Choo Charlie
Wow, nice! I think we can now virtually guarantee the source of that song title ! Even if Jeff hadn't read the whole i/v I bet the quote has shown up in a Dylan "In His Own Words"-type book or something. Don't forget that he takes all his words from the books that you don't read anyway...
bigshoulders
My friend Mary had a dream once that she and Jeff shared the same birthday. Upon waking and remembering her dream, she thought enough to google it, and, sure enough, they DO share the same birthday. True story.k

zebra
So, a friend of mine had me listen to a Shinedown (a band) song, so as I did, I decided to look them up on Amazon and their most recent album has cover art that looks like it could be part of Sky Blue Sky, like an insert or single promo. Check it out. Draw your own conclusions.

W(TF)
I can't believe Aman dug this thread out of the abyss. Nice! When you listen to Jeff talk about his songwriting process (like on the recent KMOX interview), you really have to figure any "patterns" are just pure dumb coincidence.
