TCP
Umm, okay, I wasn't trying to offend you. You don't have to be a jerk.wow...cushy bandwagon ya got there? No, no bandwagon! It's just if the team I am rooting for gets eliminated I like to have another team to root for.
So Long
I'm sorry. I honestly didn't mean to be a jerk. I'm just joking around. Not about my anti-Habs mentality. But about the bandwagon thing...I've been using that one for years. Sorry.
TCP
No, no! I didn't mean you Walken!
Lynch
On a lighter note....... Sean Avery out with lacerated spleen Still not sure if I love or hate this guy, but too bad for the Rangers.
Lynch
Also, Habs are starting Halak in net today.........
bjorn_skurj
On a lighter note....... Sean Avery out with lacerated spleen Still not sure if I love or hate this guy, but too bad for the Rangers.Eh, the Rangers are cooked anyway. That Penguins team will hoist the Cup at some point soon, if they can keep Crosby and Malkin together.Halcyon, I did not mean to bust on you. I was merely making a visual commentary on the love-hate relationship between Canadians and Americans.
TCP
No problem!! Anyone who likes hockey or Wilco is ok books. Unless they are Leaf fans, of course!! The Habs are NOT looking like the Stanley Cup champions they should be. The Pens on the other hand, do. I wouldn't be surprised if they go all the way this year, I don't know how much longer they can hold onto both Crosby and Malkin (nevermind Hossa as well) so it's either now or never! I've said this before and I'll say it again, they're almost like the Oilers of the late 80s (or as close as you can get to that).I don't like Sean Avery... I think he's a great hockey player but he needs to lose this bullshit attitude of his. That being said, I'd still like him on my team.
W(TF)
Habs look like dead weights on the ice. No power play, no zip, no hustle.
tongue-tied lightning
Bruins took the life outa da HAbs I liked the Stars, and the Wings are still there
So Long
It brings me great joy to see the Habs fail...it brings me much distress to watch the Flyers succeed...however, the latter is the lesser of the two evils. Wings are dominating. Penguins are looking great. Sharks are disappointing.
tongue-tied lightning
yup, as muchas I hate the Flyers, seeing the Habs fail makes me a little happy
TCP
Just watch! Price will come out, rejuvenated, and steal the next three games for them!
So Long
care to make a friendly wager? Now, Price is a great goaltender, but they're gonna need more than just him to come back from this.
TCP
I don't know man, I'm a Canucks fan, I've seen goaltenders steal A LOT of games!! But I guess at the end of the day, they just need to get their act together. I don't know what's going on but the coach needs to step in and do something about it because they're not playing like themselves. In other news WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS STARTS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! markosis
HA, even the fucking refs couldn't save the Canadiens the other night, although they tried. And boy, did they try. Did I mention how blatant the pro-Canadiens bias has been? Pretty frigging blatant. Stevie Wonder was probably yelling at the TV.
TCP
I think they made a mistake not playing Price but oh well, he'll be well rested now. I doubt there's any sort of a bias, if anything, teams with players like Ovechkin and Crosby would get a bias because those players = higher ratings, which the NHL wants in the States. Canadians will watch hockey regardless if it's with a Canadian team or not in the finals. The NHL would be better off with more American teams if they want to continue their arrangement with NBC. And don't forget that very questionable call the Canadiens received with 3 minutes left during a tied game.Do you guys get the World Championships in America? I know team USA vs Latvia is on in a few hours. I'm watching Canada beat Slovenia 4-1 right now. Good hockey. I like Shane Doan a lot (trivia fact, Doan and Carey Price are cousins) and it's nice to see him on a winning team, har har.
So Long
as far as I know we don't get the world championship...
TCP
Then myp2p.eu that shit up!
markosis
teams with players like Ovechkin and Crosby would get a bias You're right, they absolutely do. Those two are the NHL's meal ticket. They will protect them at all costs.

oceanman
I have the hardest time when it comes to hockey. My all time favorite teams are St. Louis and Montreal. We just can't ever seem to close the deal...................poop, I was really pullin' for Montreal.
TCP
RIP Montreal, maybe next year the Canucks will fuck me over again and I can root for you dudes once more.Anyone else dreading the off season? What am I going to do every night??? Make friends again? Nah.Clark, The Canadian Hockey Goalie was great though, but for the record, I don't know where Americans get "hoser" from, I have never ever heard someone seriously say "hoser" in my life. That said, I may have to start saying out, just cause. That goal epitomized the Maple Leafs this season (and almost every season). I feel guilty but every time I see that, it makes me happy. So Long
YES! I'm very happy today. Wow. The Habs are no-more. ole ole ole ole.

Panther
Okay Montreal is out, soo go Pens go .... naww thats stupid hey heres a Wilco related hockey quirk... Ron Maclean of Hockey Night IN Canada fame is a huge Wilco fan(he was at last years Massey Hall show)I dont no if any of you caught this but when introducing the last two montreal games in his standard word play he quoted lines from both Impossible Germany and Either Way
