jimmy bobby
Boo!!So... now we politely ask Nonesuch Records to release the show. It was just too good of a show to not make available, especially with Mr. Andrew Bird participating. It'll never happen, but one can have "wishful thinking", right. Venus
I saw a taper about 4 rows back on the mainfloor.
augurus
I didn't think the ushers were that bad. They were actually doing their jobs for once. Or at least the one right next to me was doing his job. Basically, through the entire night, a bunch of people tried to jump over the barricade to get to the orchestra pit and take the empty seats (WHY ARE THERE EMPTY SEATS IN THE ORCHESTRA PIT???). The ushers definitely quashed the dreams of the guy who wanted to just pass a note to the band. They wanted to keep the aisles clean which is why they kept on asking the people in the front to move back. And only one entrance/exists for the orchestra pit so when people tried to jump over the barricade, the ushers had to pull them back down for safety reasons. I asked about cameras and they seemed to be okay, but people need to learn to take off their flash. I imagine someone snuck in with a recorder. It didn't seem too hard to do record as long as you didn't draw attention by stealings seats or jumping the gap. So to whoever recorded the show, please put it up. Thanks! jimmy bobby
Great! I'm anxiously awaiting a post for the show then.I'll be scouring the www 'til I can find it.
sean Patrick
2 ushers talking about 4 songs into the set.usher 1: "hey, what do you think so far?"usher 2: "ehh, they are pretty boring."usher 1: "ehh, yeah."Â usher funz.im glad someone taped it. maybe they were only controlling in the back area, where all of the frat boys had ideas of 7.00 beer. Venus
I think the ushers did a great job. I don't know what some people were expecting. It's not like they were playing at a bar, or some small juke joint where the conditions are more lax. The ushers have to deal w/ 5000+ people--they did well maintaining control. jesselne
Man, what a great show. It's only the second time I've seen them, but this show was spot on. I almost forgot how much Wilco can rock, but after that second encore... just wow. Andrew Bird was fantastic, both solo and as the '7th member'. If anyone knows where I can get the recording that would be awesome.
cryptique
Did anyone see someone taping the show?I didn't notice anyone. Didn't notice anyone in the audience in East Lansing last year either. What's the deal. No tapers in Metro-Detroit anymore. I can't wait for this show to emerge out there somewhere, and I know it will, as there was a taper in the row behind me. I saw a taper about 4 rows back on the mainfloor. So that makes one, possibly two tapers. And there were probably more.
ArtOfficial
Re: East Lansing show, I have a recording of the show that my roommate got from a torrent website. I'm sure that if there was a taper in Detroit, it'll show up there. I'll ask him for the name when he gets out of class.

jesselne
I am the said roommate I guess, I got the show from here back when they hosted torrents here. I converted it to MP3, for space reasons. I'll make a torrent and put it up on demonoid, after this next class. This East Lansing show was my first one, and unfortunately the only live Wilco show I have on my computer. Here is the link If you can't download torrents PM me, and we'll come up with another way to send it. EDIT: I took down the torrent since it was angering lots of people. Sorry guys.
a.miller
I cannot wait until this is available for download. Not everyday your two favorite musicians/groups play together!!

telekipper
I have to say last night was the best and tightest performance I've seen from Wilco. Jeff's voice was wonderful, Nels rocked the fuck out, and Glen was amazing as usual. I prayed for Pot Kettle Black when I saw the white tele come out, and they thankfully delivered. I've been waiting for that one. I was worried when I didn't see a taper anywhere, but feeling a bit better now that someone else did. I hope they got Andrew's set too. Not to mention Jeff's Elvis/Gram Parsons get up. Seriously, rad. I'm a stander too, damnit.

jmwils1
Amazing show.Wilcotastic!!Loved that Andrew Bird played four songs with Wilco last night!!The real question is, was there a taper there last night? Did anyone see someone taping the show?I didn't notice anyone. Didn't notice anyone in the audience in East Lansing last year either. What's the deal. No tapers in Metro-Detroit anymore. I did record and yes it was a pain getting my gear in. Fortunately security knew about Wilco's open taping policy. Unfortunately they didn't allow stands and the sound in the balcony sucked where my seat was - way too much boomy bass. Since I had my mics clamped to an arm rest and not on a stand above my head, the recording is very boomy with lots of crowd noise and clapping. I finally set up a stand for the second encore when everyone was standing up, but thanks to the security issues and the guy with the big hands next to me, the rest sounds pretty bad. I'll seed it only if nothing else turns up.
terrfish
FACT: There was a taper in Row I house right on the isle. He was sitting right behind me.  Trying to wait patiently until his recording surfaces....
the_fliz1
This was my first Wilco show and I am floored.  A couple of notes:  First, and most important- That 2nd encore kicked all shades of ass. To be able to see Red Eyed & Blue - I Got You - Casino Queen - then Outasite (Outamind) to end a show was so f***ing unbelievable it is still hard for me to comprehend. Also, never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would get to hear "Too Far Apart". Second - Nels Cline is a god. I have only seen him play a couple of single song performances on TV and the like, and when he plays like that he is somewhat reserved. He was full on rocking out last night. I could see a little that Pat was rocking out himself on the 2nd encore, doin his best Kieth Richard impression, but I had some guy who had to be 6'5" or so standing in front of me so for the majority of the show I didn't get to see a whole lot of Pat or John. Third - I realize that this comparison is somewhat of a cliche' but the first thing that came to my mind when I saw Glen was Animal from the Muppets. He was all over that kit. Fourth - I'm not sure if Jeff knows anything about the Michigan/Ohio State rivalry, but when you mention anything bad about Columbus in Detroit you can pretty well bet you are going to get a crap load of applause. Fifth - My wife mentioned several times after the show how impressed she was that the band was able to keep time and kick in at the right moments after the noise sections in Via Chicago. She was kind of freaked out by the lighting changes during the song but impressed none the less. Last - This being my first Wilco show I am kind of biased, but are all of their shows this good or was it just this one? Best concert I have ever attended. Hands down.
Weirdness
Howdy all! Just wanted to confirm for everyone that I have a pretty solid recording to share from dead center front of the mezzanine. Still have to have a listen to make sure that there aren't any touch ups that are needed but regardless it should be very listenable. http://bt.etree.org is usually where I put my recordings up(bit torrent). Hopefully it'll be up by the end of the weekend. Inspired and inspiring show in my fave indoor venue. These guys have really stepped up their live performance as of late, can't think of many bands that I'd rather go and see. Looking forward to doing it all over again sometime soon...
