cryptique
#2?Nope, #2 is true. I was part of an audience of students on a program called "Open to Question" (hosted by Krishnan Guru-Murthy, who's now a Channel 4 news presenter) that was taped in Glasgow in fall 1988. The guest on that show was the then-new leader of the Moral Majority in the U.S., Jerry Nims, and I caught him contradicting himself about something and called him on it. This many years later, I have no recollection of what, exactly, it was that I tried to nail him on, but I vaguely remember him giving some lame-ass answer in an attempt to change the subject. The best part of that whole thing was that the BBC wanted some American students on the show and knew someone connected to my foreign study program in London, so they paid for round-trip tickets on the InterCity 125 up to Glasgow for me and a few of my classmates. It happened to coincide with our fall break, so I stayed up in Scotland for a week and explored.
