embiggen
You obviously don't know the first fucking thing about Ralph Nader. He said some stupid things during the 2000 election, and there's a small chance that his candidacy cost Gore the White House -- and that's obviously a major issue -- but that's where my quibble with Nader ends. Read up on his career sometime and educate yourself. Your life is better because of Ralph Nader. The fact that you call him "human garbage" just proves how woefully ignorant you are. that's what he said!

bjorn_skurj
Ralph Nader can burn in the pits of hell. He is human garbage. IMOA little harsh. but I think Iraq puts paid to anyone who thought there was no difference between Bush and Al Gore.

Atticus
Uh, here's a little $650 billion dollar difference: The deficit was resolved under President Bill Clinton, when the U.S. budget showed a $236 billion dollar surplus. Last year's budget deficit was $413 billion. you're really grasping at straws aren't you? that's like comparing churches to blowjobs

Good Old Neon
I'll give you that point for sure but Nader cost Gore the election 100 percent, and the only reason is short sighted americans had it too good for 8 years and took it for granted. nothing shocking there. How can you be 100% certain Nader cost Gore the election? Here
Sir Stewart
I voted for Dole in 1996. I didn't vote in 2000 because I was at work on deadline day and then at a Prince concert. Plus, I live in Massachusetts.

Grow the fuck up. Also, you're assuming that Nader voters would have voted for Gore if Nader weren't in the race, which is a laughable assumption. Some Nader voters would've voted for Bush, and a lot more wouldn't have voted at all.

I never said any such thing about another party or person running. Anyone should be free to run and do what they want and Im free to think what I want about that. i.e. f nader Gore needed 537 votes. If you dont think that many of Nader's 97,000 votes would have gone that way then whatever.

I think we all need to take a deep collective breath right about now - there is no need for personal insults, we are simply dicussing "what if's" on a bands message board, let's not say anything we might regret.
