solace, there really is a lot to like about this one. it's not too massive. the workers are genuinely friendly and the crowds open to the musicians.

i've become a fan.

The listing says Lez Zeppelin, The Poster says Lez Zeppelin, but the Sun Times is reporting that Led Zeppelin will be playing Bonnaroo. Lez Zeppelin is an all-female coverband, way different from Led Zeppelin. Anyone else hear or read anythig about Led? You would htink they would be at the top of the billing.

god i wish i didn't hate festivals with a fiery passion

I feel the same way about festivals, which is just one of the many reasons I won't be going to this one.

That said, those of you who are going really should check out Orchestra Baobab. They're a blast.

I think they saw "Lez Zeppelin" and jumped to conclusions. Their own "complete list of artists" doesn't mention Led Zeppelin.

I know, and I know the Sun Times is not the best of newspapers, but I thought maybe there was some sort of announcement between the posting of the artist list and the article.

it's still like 80k no? ;)

just the idea of all day out in the sun watching bands play often abbreviated sets (at least Bonnaroo gives the headliners long sets) and the fact that so many bands that i wanna see often overlap, among other things (sweatty hippies, etc.), just not my idea of fun.

I was seriously considering the 'Roo this year (I am a total festival whore) but this lineup just doesn't do it for me. The headliners aren't anything special, and the middle tier acts will be playing every other festival (or coming through Chicago) this summer.

I love Pearl Jam, but I've seen them a million times, and I'd rather see Kanye on the Glow in the Dark tour.

And Metallica? Seriously?

Eh.

Kinda feel the same way, but they do have some great bands though. Just the big name are weak. I am hoping more get added. At least one big headliner and a few more middle tier names. Would love to see Arcade Fire. I still think I am going.

they're done touring for probably 2 years after their Japan shows this week.

there's a very slight chance of some Canadian shows this summer, but very slight.

What happened, did the Wallflowers kick Jakob Dylan out??? :lol

LouieB

he's been doing the solo thing for a while now. I think he has a solo album coming out this year. I don't even think the Wallflowers have a recording contract at the moment.
