quarter23cd
Spitzer's escort: 'I love who I am'In her profile, Dupre says she moved to Manhattan to pursue her music career. "I am all about my music, and my music is all about me," she writes on her MySpace page. "It flows from what I've been through, what I've seen and how I feel."On the bright side of all of this, I bet somebody is going to get a record out of this publicity. This is honestly the first article I have actually read on this subject--so far the headlines have told me all the relevant info without having to wade deeper (ie, Spitzer caught, Spitzer resigns)--and so I just happened to pick the article that talks about the escort's musical ambitions. I just assumed it was a trend.
MattZ
There are rumors that she strongly pushed for him not to resign. So who knows why she's standing next to him. She may really want to support him now. Anyone see this? Jim Cramer's a clown and he's hard to take seriously, but still:
Analogman
I thought it was funny las night when I was flipping through news channels - they all seemed to feature interviews with sex workers, call girls, ex-sex workers, employees of the bunny ranch, etc.
lamradio
What was he thinking? She's a total milf. Maybe she wasn't putting out. But still, that's no excuse for his actions. You do everything you can to work it out (counseling, sex toys, or what have you), and if all else fails, you move on and find someone that WILL put out.. Yes, sex is a very important part of a marriage, and it is true that some women just don't put out.. period... And I feel sorry for the guys that have to put up with that, but that by no means gives you the excuse to go and get a hooker..

lamradio
No offense, but isn't a wife not putting out a text book reason for getting a hooker? It is indeed.. but that doesn't make it right.. Hey, some wife's actually allow it (believe me, I've known a few couples like that) but when it's behind their back, that's just wrong to betray your wife like that.. Sweet Papa Crimbo
No offense, but isn't a wife not putting out a text book reason for getting a hooker? No Desire for impersonal sexual contact. Desire to be in a total control situation. Desire to be secretive and sordid. Feeling of insecurity or inferiority (i.e. a feeling that only way to achieve intimacy is having to 'pay for it' ) Like rape is not a desire for sexual gratfication but an act of violence, patronizing a prostitute is an act of insecurity and desperation. You may be correct in this case but you also may be way off base. We don't know Spitzer's desires/ intentions/fantasies/fetishes/whatever. He may simply have been looking for some tail and figured a private service would be the most discreet method of getting laid.
JUDE
patronizing a prostitute is an act of insecurity and desperation. or maybe it's just easier to cut to the chase and pay for the services, rather than do some stupid dance and ritual that we hope ends up with the same result. Well, apparently he was able to pull it off for years and spend thousands.. That's pretty remarkable.. The things you can do when you are a powerful politician.... I'm sure Senator Larry Craig never got any advice from Spitzer (soliciting sex in public bathrooms)... Although for some reason, that guy is still in office..

JUDE
sure. let's just do away with marriage and relationships. we should just whore each other out. Some people are wired for that stuff, some aren't. I'm not making a judgement on other peoples preferences, nor should you. P.S. Jump to conclusions much?
